They should just increase the taxes on rental income to make it less profitable. It's too easy to be a bum landlord.

Higher rent means more people will opt to buy. That's not necessarily a bad thing in perspective. Assuming the other side effect is a decrease in costs due to a lower profit margin.

I went to maybe slightly above average high school for my area and didn't have one. But there were programs where the school partnered with community colleges and students maintaining decent grades could attend classes elsewhere. And those had shop as well as other vocational programs.

They probably sent us home with a pamphlet with information at the beginning of the year, but I don't remember.

I usually wait 6mo to a year in order for composer dependencies I use to get updated. Then its usually a trivial upgrade. I've upgraded sooner before for simpler projects though and things are usually pretty stable upon release.

Modern in software terms almost always just means recently written. Last couple years. It's a pretty useless adjective to describe software.

E.g. sqlite probably wouldn't be called modern, but everyone loves it so who cares.

for a long time it hasn't been a software problem. It's been a reputation problem, the only recent change is we're more interested in the domain then the IP now.

I've been using mkcert for ages now for local development. Free, open source, and works offline.

Why use any service for this?

Quality is hard because people stop talking to customers and become out of touch with them. Everyone thinks the next big thing will be what customers want, but customers will tell you what they want unfortunately nobody is listening.

Microsoft failed to disrupt the smartphone market because they tried doing it at a period of all time low Microsoft sentiment, especially in the developer community. If they tried it again today, it might actually work.

Apple putting a toe in the water is roughly equivalent to Microsoft's HoloLens effort. I wouldn't compare it to Xbox or even the Windows Phone. Ironically Apple might fail here because they're developer relations isn't exactly great right now and they might lose this the same way Microsoft lost mobile.

I've run into something similar to this a few years ago where chrome randomly introduced a rendering bug that resulted in a similar crash and only affected our application in seemingly random fashion. I don't remember the full context but I think it was something involving layers & transparency.

We finally figured it out when a coworker couldn't replicate and we noticed they were a version of chrome behind. We were able to track down the specific commits in chrome that broke & fixed it in our case which was pretty cool to see at the time.

If you have any more time I recommend reading through the commit log and see if you can find the changes that broke/fixed this for you. I'd bet on another rendering bug.

They'll still work fine. MadCatz is licensed. There are tons of licensed accessory vendors for Xbox.
