As far as I could tell as a non Chrome user, Chrome Cleanup Tool is a separate download from Chrome. Chrome may prompt to install it under some circumstances. However, what's described in the article does not appear to be a functionality that exists in normal Chrome installation.

-The whole thing is projected as health device and makes me feel that it's designed for fitness nuts. This is going to severely limit the audience and very bad marketing strategy.

Yeah, designing product to specific target audience didn't work out so well for GoPro I'm sure.

Perhaps the TC devs were ticked off that this audit kickstarter/indiegogo has netted so much money none of which goes to the devs. And this is their way of not playing along with the whole shenanigan.

Seems to be it's just Thunderbird with UI tweaks. I would've preferred the original Eudora codebase from the 90's. Didn't even know they ditched it.

Why do Google continue to aquire IP4 adresses other than 66.0.0.0/8 they already own but do not appear to be using much at all. Do they even have legitimate purpose for assignment of 66.0.0.0/8 under ARIN justfification?

I wonder if they did a study into what percentage of their users have font smoothing turned off, because their HTML text everywhere site looks horrendous on my PC with font smoothing off. It's especially ugly when you can easily see where they are using graphic text on a few select spots.

I could care little about privacy concern, but I would rather wait a couple of seconds than waste bandwidth downloading pages that I would most likely never look at. Also from web developer point of view, I would like to see how any given site loads under standard use case anyway.

Apple iCloud 15 years ago

The service is intended to turn ripped songs from already purchased CDs. It doesn't magically turn illegally downloaded music to legal ownership even if Apple's service can't/won't enforce the difference. It's still gray.

The bottom line: No one cares about music any more. It's worth less than $25/year.

Why does cat need the ability to add line numbers anyway? It seems outside the scope of it's purpose. Next it'll need ability to translate Russian to English.

If I ever needed line numbering, I would output into a file and open it in a far more capable text editor/viewer that was designed for doing that well.
