I think you completely missed Joel's argument.

This one is the best:
_vojto is looking for help with Data analytics.
In return, they can offer their help with Relationship advice.
Yep, you hit the nail on the head.

Your sales page says:
"We track over 400,000 searches representing almost 50,000,000 results. "
Really? Where do you get this data? Apple is certainly not making it available (for obvious reasons).
do I get French residency?
I've tried both and much prefer SourceTree.
It's a fantastic piece of software and find all the options intuitive and nicely executed.
They are also a big company that donates to the government so I doubt they're expecting serious ramifications from this bill's passage to their bottom line.
Thanks, I stopped reading after your comment.
Wow, what a sensationalist headline, how's the CTR?
I'll probably get down voted for saying this but that's one of the reasons I'm jumping off the Android ship this year, and, no, I'm no aApple fanboy.
I've had the original Nexus, Nexus One, Nexus S and wanted to buy the G Nexus but if google/samsung are willing to put a device that can't function under normal operating environment, then they shouldn't have done at it all.
See, with the iPhone (4S), I know Apple would never put out a device like this. It might not have things like a notification LED that blinks when u have a message, but the thing is bullet proof -- it just works.
The mentality is certainly different. I want a finished product, and not be a beta tester for a company.
It's no accident Apple sticks to their time-proven design: small 3.5" screen, no LTE, etc.
And as I get more busy with my life (business, etc), I could careless about the "openness" of the Android platform--it's not like I'll be compiling ROMs all day.
I just want something that works and won't let me down in the 11th hour and with Apple I know that won't happen.
I think you missed his point. He wants a device off the shelf to do what it's capable off without dying.
Finally released the domains from GoDaddy by clicking on the domain and doing 'Accept'.
Now, when I do a whois it's showing as registered to eNom (I was xferring to namecheap) and then showing domain not found.
On namecheap's side it's showing as pending - not action required from me.
Anyone seen similar behavior?
32 here.
1. You finished this blog post, so you know how to finish things.
2. Turn off all mindless distractions for a month or more (fb, twitter, forums, even hn) so you can figure out something important that you can focus on. You've read enough and don't need to keep reading more motivational material.
3. Start a small project and finish it. This would help you to convince yourself that you can complete shit.
4. Use that feedback loop to continue building bigger projects.
5. Life IS really that short so learn to live in the moment (I've been there but am getting a bit better with this).
I got a friend on FB that works in Brussels but literally every weekend he's off to some exotic destination. So everyday I either see a checkin from god knows where, or if he's not there yet, there's always a status "Next weekend, I will be in <exotic destination>"
I wonder if he'd be still doing this if there was no Facebook.
The only reason I keep Facebook is because it's easy to contact people when I need to get a hold of someone that I met five years ago while traveling or something.
But even so, I'm beginning to question the logic behind having a million acquaintances "just in case"
My close friends are on Skype anyway, so FB seems to have less meaning with each passing day.
I would be very surprised
"Hey PayPal, do you realize people no longer trust you?"
The truth is they couldn't care less; they're a preferred point for e-transactions on eBay and elsewhere.
It's back when you wanted an iPhone but hated AT&T, they knew you couldn't get an iPhone with another provider, so they didn't give two shits about their crappy service and customer care.
I tried Groove IP, but the echo makes it unusable on my Nexus S (I've tried all settings, etc).
Does anyone have it working flawlessly, and if so, what device?
I want the Schengen zone to end so I'm not limited by 3 months in all of Europe but instead on a country by country basis.
Really? I know plenty of people that aren't meant to be bosses and need someone else to guide them.
Not everyone is cut out to be a CEO or President, etc.
I spend about 1/4 of that with same quality of life in Colombia (in a great city) and I lived in NYC.
Oh, and I'm 32.
Kinda hard to create the next Facebook when you have a tropical beach next door, no?
Not misleading at all. You just misunderstood. A drop is a drop even when it's relative.
Advice for someone with a sizable IRA denominated in dollars who wants to move it into other currencies?
Well, you never got sued just threatened.
Definition of a bubble.
or even outside USA. I'm in Colombia now and my monthly budget is a small fraction of what it was in The States.
The problem is that there no hustlers in Bay Area/Nor Cali. The culture's home is New York, and more along East Coast (Miami).
A lot of my friends (in Brooklyn, NY) are hustlers.
Nor Cali and New York basically two opposing cultures.
Hipsters will never be hustlers.
Make no mistake, hustlers may not know how to setup an EC2 instance but they know how to make bank.
(I'm using my definition of hustler, which is someone along the lines of "Naughty" per pg's essays, especially someone who operates in "grey" areas (not illegal).)
What kind of app was this? I'm curious how you handled the massive traffic to the site.
Why does stuff like this get on the front page, or do TC articles get special treatment or something?
