I do believe that economics itself will take into account increased lifespans, UBI and other measures of normality...

Here's a take, if people get to live so much longer, then money is not the variable to be optimised for humanity in general...

Also, rates of labour, skill, energy expenditure and so many variables will undergo a change in definitions.

I would like to see everyone make it... I believe so would everyone else, if increased lifespans are on the line.

Just tested 5-10 mins back.

A few issues.

Some latencies are present. PTT button pushed propagation time perhaps. Audio stream is a little glitchy sometimes.

Some words/syllables repeat 5-15 times. This effect is seen in message starting and endings usually but also in between sentences.

Message drops before a person releases the button. They say a sentence but get cut off halfway.

But on the whole... a nice thing :)

Personally tried Hetzner, Scaleway and online.net, it's parent. Online.net and scaleway have payment issues and their payment systems failed me more than once, their website kept logging us out and their support staff did not seem to bother. So I called it quits with online.net/scaleway. Hetzner has been rock steady for me, however. Just my $0.2.

Perhaps, if you'd look at it this way: Almost every article posted here speaks for the topic at hand. Many comments provide reasonable counterviews and create a sense of insight and nuance. This creates a sense of a somewhat balanced viewpoint about the topic. It's not that scoffers or only cynics here are upvoted. Sadly, cynicism often does seem to be the main emotion doing the rounds.

Categorical divisions and their names are being refined at that age. Which is why the most familiar name is allocated to the entire group of similar entities. Later on, categories become refined and also their namings.

Well, adults have multiple threads of parallel thought. They are definitely more engrossed in their internal world than children. For example: Consider meeting a friend and not recollecting their name, sometimes their name pops into our minds after a couple of days without us actively pondering or being burdened by the finding process. A majority of adults truly aren't in the moment so to speak, juggling multiple choices that surround their day does cause cognitive load.

Also, the need to instinctively smile is replaced with conditional reciprocation based on what they see and assess. That's learned behaviour.

This is really nice trahn.. Please get some funding to get the word out before Disqus or any other comments app having a user base replicates the same. It isn't technically hard, but the business case is viable and people will want to invest in the minds that envisioned it and made this possible (you guys :) ) and see where it can go.

Hopefully, with an AWS offering, this could give an impetus to widespread adoption. A lot of great ideas are simply left dormant because of network effects.

There definitely is something strangely odd about this site. They act as a currency exchange, pilfering huge amounts of money by converting slightly lesser than actual forex value. They apparently converted currency 9 times for 2 small gigs. And I just stopped using this site. They deserve this backlash. From what I can gather the developer is aghast with difficulties and is emotionally distraught to provide a compelling narrative. But the fact remains that sites like these, though they call themselves for freelancers, is purely hogwash about its business and is more than happy to shoot itself in the foot. The ideology of acting like a half-decent marketplace (at least what they purport to be) is somehow lost out on these guys. Shame.

Sometimes, we forget that, as biological beings, we are, by environmental conditioning, limited in our reasoning abilities toward non-linear thinking. What constitutes absolutism of thought and to infer that we have absolute reasoning? We know that many imminent scientists, including Einstein, were disposed toward intelligent design, agnosticism, and not atheism. Stephen Jay Gould says, “...facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world′s data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts." For all the evidence and reasoning, we still have not proven or disproven, at least not with enough scientific rigor, that God exists. Even holding an agnostic view seems to be better than saying that we have disproven Intelligent Design. Until then, being predisposed to one of the polar claims ought not to be treated with contempt.

Even with AI, validation would still require a federated body which ascertains facts. I think this solution could work if we have humans in the loop, curated reddit style.
