Kamal is somewhere in the middle. Probably a little closer to a bunch of bash scripts. But it’ll get your container going pretty quick. Can take a bit of fiddling with SSH/docker-login. Plus it handles deployments very well.

Seems like there are a bunch of alternatives popping up including some DIY solutions. Which is really awesome in this space. We've also seen lots of success with Beanstalk and a simple $20 cordless phone. Kids love wandering around chit-chatting. I'm working on a small project to bring plain-old-telephones back into our children's lives. Quick, screen-less connections with grandparents, cousins, and friends is as quick as picking up the phone and pressing one button. Imagine that.

I've built this to scratch my own itch, and built an expense tracker that meets "my" needs. I have a handful of happy users. This is more of a passion project and not a solo-startup or anything like that. I'd love to hear your feedback and see if it meets your needs. There are not any external data connections via Plaid, no 3rd party data tracking or sharing, your data is your data.
I know manual expense tracking might sound like a bear, but I find it cathartic and reflective to have to enter expenses.
