Why would Floridas numbers start to decrease if not for herd immunity? We know they aren’t being more careful. Disney land reopened and there is a police sheriff who literally made a rule that police officers and people going into the station were not allowed to wear masks.

This is idiotic. Rather than “herd immunity” one could, in fact, be seeing the impact of large numbers of people having been scared straight simply avoiding further contact.

The author’s conjecture could be correct but they offer no proof.

“Yuval Levin is director of social, cultural, and constitutional studies at the American Enterprise Institute, editor of National Affairs, and a senior editor of The New Atlantis.” Useful context before the click.

To me that sounds optimistic. A bearish view would be that they limped to enough revenue to cover the costs of operating a solid recruiting and contest site; non recurring revenue of, say, $15MM without a strong growth or margin story.

Kaggle was a great recruiting play; given that Google bought them, and not a recruiting company, I would bet that this is an acquihire.

I agree; it would be great to hear from developers who've experimented with switching from macOS to Windows 10, and use Ubuntu userspace on Windows.

I switched about a month ago and, to be honest, I've been pleasantly surprised with Windows 10, with modern, top-of-the-line Windows hardware, and especially with Ubuntu on Windows.

Why announce this 3 months ahead of the scheduled opening?

Correct headline is "The tragedy of the Arabs"; omitting the definite article makes the lede significantly more offensive :)
