Nope. We've tried a few in the past and they've just done NOTHING so we're not going back. We have much more success on android and apple even with the increased competition.

You don't think you'd stop begging at some point and try to do something useful with your life if EVERYONE was nice to you and tried to help you out? I know I would but maybe I'm different. Maybe I have too much confidence in mankind and not enough respect for incentives.

This is why it would be nice if we could all be consistent in our encouragement one way or the other. If we all did the same thing we might actually make a difference.

I suppose that's one possible scenario but I don't think I personally would become one. I think a lot people feel the same.

I think if we were to start over as a society without the social norms of begging like we have now and everyone were to give if they saw the 1st person ever on the street things might be a different and we might not have people who are on the street for extended periods like we do now.

I wonder if there's a way to test this out.

Whether we all give to everyone or we all give to no one, or maybe well all do more than just giving I think if we could all be consistent in our behavior as a society that would really help out. I think the randomness of some people helping sometimes really hurts the situation.

When doing market research its about both the number and quality. I agree that our polling audience may not match Guy's key demographic but we do get the numbers for a very cheap price. More to the point of the article, if you didn't like the Daisy design that's fine, I just think its a bit foolish to not poll an audience of more than 1.

Obviously using Guy's name and polls as an example will draw more readers, so yes it helps with publicity. I don't see the issue. It happened, I wrote about it.

I've had a lot of luck running a design contest on 99 designs and then continuing to do work afterwards with the people I chose as finalists for the design. My 2c.

We did this for one of our startups but had major issues after the first month when it turned out that spreedly doesn't db the credit card cvv ('cause they're not allowed) and then paypal wouldn't let us bill without the cvv code. We've had numerous issues with paypal not letting us do some simple things just because they made a decision at some point that we were sketchy and shouldn't be allowed and they tell us they'll NEVER EVER change their mind.

That said, we still use paypal recurring billing on a few sites cause its just sooo easy to do, even if it is a bit user unfriendly.

Love this little app. I think its ok because he only uses images with Free to Share licenses and then attributes the work to the original photographer.
