It's not a secret to any investor that Lyft's business has gone way down. These sorts of layoffs tend to only spark panic selling when they are not expected.

I bet he made a few bucks in the 90s and and used the allure of the show to impress people since then. Seinfeld is still generating massive amounts of money so someone should know if they're sending any of it to Bannon.

I'm pretty sure they could start paying a minimum wage of $30 an hour and people would be irate that they're making it impossible to hire anyone because Amazon is overpaying. When you're the biggest player there is nowhere to hide.

And this is not an annualized number, they started the pay increase last month. This is a huge figure, especially for a their razor thin margin retail business.

COVID tests aren't DNA tests.

Correct, because SARS-CoV-2 is an RNA virus and contains no DNA. But the test does work by detecting the viral RNA and it is hard to find the specific stuff (reagents) to perform the test and that's a big reason why we're all sheltering in place without a proper nationwide testing regime.

As for testing, they have been unable to do it through regular channels so they are building a lab to do it themselves:

I am skeptical of this because there are almost no essentials that are available to order.

They are providing inventory to a bunch of other retailers and are continuing online sales, this really sounds like they don't want people coming in and touching the same piece of glass.

Disney is also hemorrhaging cash with their parks closed. Along with resorts and cruises. And their TV advertising just vanished with losing all live sports. The next earnings season is going to be insane.

And then the next part:

Plus everyone is still getting paid:

That's the rumor, but the statement they put out was absolutely ridiculous and in no way required for insurance. The organizers were willing to put people at risk for profit.

That would give publishers a nice incentive to produce automated clicks themselves. There are no great answers to this issue, Google definitely falls short but full transparency is also not the answer.

The amazing thing to me is Google treats almost everyone the same. From a site getting $5 a month to $5,000 to $50,000. About the only difference I've noticed is I sometimes get to have conference calls with people who have the same suggestions. I've provided Google with billions of (legit!) ad impressions over the years and wouldn't even get a phone call before being kicked off.

That's an extremely niche transaction and when I'm waiting to check my bag I'm glad I don't have to wait for someone who can't use the website to try and book a trip. I can't believe you waited and were told to go to the website and decided to wait again just to make sure. What's wrong with united.com?

If it's through my usual airline I just book through the site or app, it takes a few seconds as they already have all of my information from pre-check to billing. Otherwise Google Flights is a great search interface and gives you a link to book directly through the airline.
