To be honest, I primarily do my browsing offline, and I installed https://localsend.org using Flatpak to move files to/from the Steam Deck. It works amazingly well.

To me this all seems like downstream from massive capital expenses on GPU purchases, driving up the demand for memory, etc. It begs the question of how much of the GPU capacity that has been sold/delivered actually being utilized? Are we paying across the board for a bunch of inventory sitting idle?

That pausing issue is plaguing me with several other titles. I think it tracks with background downloading of game updates, but haven’t had enough hours to entirely confirm it. What I did notice is that after installing Decky there are background jobs from some of the plugins that run native Linux updates (flatpak) and snapshotting.

If the Vision Pro ever takes off I'd be interested in seeing if all of these sensors on my hands could be used for more accurate gestures. But imagine by that point the sensors and models running on device will be good enough it won't matter.
