This is the greatest music news I've heard in a while. I'm currently doing spotify's 2 month free trial and the only con I've come across was not having Led Zeppelin, the Beatles and some other artists. Hopefully this could possibly be a catalyst for other artists to come to spotify.

I can't tell you how many times I played through the demo, which I believe I got in a kids-targeted-cereal box (CHEX?) I still go back every ~three years and play it again. It's Timeless.

I wouldn't say there's a hostility toward woman and black people, but there's definitely a shortage in the hacker scene. Out of all the groups I've been a part of, the technological people I've been around seem to care the least about that kind of stuff. That being said, I'm not a woman, nor am I black, so maybe it is there and I just don't see it.

This is all fine and dandy, but what really needs to happen is for these Tech Giants to come together and not ask the government for a reform, but to tell the government that a reform needs to take place. What, does the President not think that people don't like surveyed illegally, or even know what he's doing is illegal? Obama isn't sorry for what the NSA is doing, he's sorry what they are doing got out.

If this was in response to the code.com video, I think this author missed the message of it. Code.com said that people should learn to code because it makes people think more analytically. Just like why people take math classes. Do I need to know calculus in everyday life? Probably not, but it changes how you think and makes you a problem solver, just like learning how to program. Also, if people learned programming than they wouldn't be typing into magic they wouldn't understand, maybe they start to code because they like video games and discover other uses for programming? How will people become passionate about it if they never try it out? This artical made my angry and could apply to and subject.
