I started to read the blog post and got lost trying to shoot down all these aliens falling down from space. It's really a nice game integrated in the webpage. I was able to double my canon and even get a bigger blue laser. I wonder how much more weapon upgrades there is. Awesome game inside this blog.

no SEP matching is a dnssec error. The DS key in the .com. zone file are there but no longer available in herokudns.com.
Hopefully someone has a backup of those keys. If not, I think they have to contact .com. to replace the keys. It can take several hours to come back.
Am I reading this right? Google engineers are fixing apple software?
it's up to 1 Trillion now
It's showing $1T per btc on coinmarketcap
It's now at $1T
You read it right. Just a simple curl can infect your system. Your api can be behind multiple layer of security and still it will reach log4j and infect your system.
It seems to have worm like capabilities. Right now it seems to spread. Who knows what will happen after? It's a bit of race against the clock. I found this library to be used somehow. https://github.com/projectdiscovery/interactsh
They seem to exfiltrate data. If you see these files hosted in your projects, then you are probably part of it now.
After reading all these news about this new vulnerability in java library log4j, I thought this old video was more relevant than ever. It's a very funny video about how the world collapse because of the dependance on java.
The log4j patch to fix this vuln is available since March 2021. 9 months later... time to panic.
Was the vuln known since March 2021?
This is a classic in America when calling Europe or International.
The dial out in corporate, usually you used 9. Then you google how to dial in Europe because the numbers are not natural. Google mentions dial 11 + country code + phone number.
So people hit 9 to dial out, then 11 to dial in Europe. Instantly you hear: Emergency 911, is this an emergency?
The dialer is like: no I'm trying to call Europe.
Which one of the 2 had a bigger revenue impact on Amazon?
1. That fine mention in this article 2. The outage that happened in AWS US-East-1 region earlier this week
Amazon is not profitable. AWS is.
How will it work? Is it a kind of special trophy that will gain value over time as people win that NFT trophies over and over again? Who won it, when and how will be track in that blockchain? I'm curious and wondering if some people could explain to me like I'm 5 years old
which they copied Facebook outages (former Meta)
You can see the glass half full or half empty. I see it half full.
Ubisoft is adding NFT in its new games. Ubisoft is a real company producing real games with real players all around the world.

First fastly, then facebook, now AWS us east. Who's next? Global Google outage?
imdb seems down too and returning 503. Is it related? Here is the output. Kind of funny.
D'oh!
Error 503

Lucky for you that you don't check your bills on a quarter basis (3 months). It could have been another story to be reimbursed and the bills might have more than triple.
It seems a bit long to fix!
They probably paint themselves in a corner just like facebook few weeks ago.
This make me think;
Could it be that one day the internet will have a total global outage and it will take few days to recover?
It starts to show issues now. I agree that it was a bit long before we can get real visibility on the incident.
Makes more sense. $150B is another magnitude vs $650M. I mean wow, you want to make sure that you can trust this.
Wow! $650B privacy law suit. Impressive! Are you sure about that number? It seems a bit high?
Can we trust this news? Who is edelson?
Maybe web3 is not only about crypto bs. It's probably more about accountability and repudiation. To remove the control to central corporations like the FANG. To stop spreading hate speech and encourage to destroy the planet.
I really hate the web 2.0 personally and I stay far away from it. I'm not trying to convince anyone to follow my path, but I'm hoping that the true meaning of Internet will shine soon. Maybe the 3.0 is the way to go and in my opinion it cannot be worst than 2.0.
well the blockchain won't agree with this. All transactions can be verified. Maybe I missed something.
Where did all this money go? It can't disappear just like that, can it?
I can't withdraw more than a few K per week with crypto exchanges. How can $300B evaporate just like that?
Used to work for internet video game companies at the infrastructure level. We were constantly under attack. I mean, out of 40 Gbps of bandwidth on internet spread over multiple data centers, a good percentage was just pure hacks and attacks.
I can't imagine to drop our firewalls, ips and all of the security gears we had for few seconds. The knowledge built to reach this level of maturity in internet security was several years of man power.
I'm not sure how bad are the attacks against the space force, but I suspect it's slightly higher than any other normal high profile entities on internet.
They probably deserve a good shake. Let's give them a good shake, shall we?
