Development is moving away from the IDE to agentic long running workers. I've been using their SDK in this mode - which then forces you to use cursor as model provider. I use a mix of harnesses for different types of agentic tasks and Cursor gets the best results.

Besides delegating the secrets protection to entities that do it well, key rotation is a major benefit to ensure that in the likely event your credentials are leaked (either due to malpractice or a vulnerability) the attack surface will be shortened by the time they can be used by.

You are on the money here. I guess who reports to whom depends if it's a tech company or not.

The procedure started in 2011 because it was when the Civil Governments (that previously had this responsibility) were extinct by a government led by the current opposition party in order to save costs and create a leaner government.

Journalists have had this information since January and decided doing nothing anything about it. Also relevant that candidates for local elections are lining up at the moment.

Nevertheless the procedure should have been known by the Mayor and reviewed ages ago.

Couldn't agree more. The bandwagon effect is something also worth mentioning. Tech stacks and tools these days are branded almost as consumer products and the outcome is poorly designed systems.

I wonder if this is a common feature of leaders rather than a degenerative disease. Very competitive environments make way for sociopaths to get up to the top more frequently than normal people.

This only outlines how a Tech Lead should operate, promoting consensus and not being authoritarian. Decision making by a committee is a recipe for failure.
