Even worse than just the misleading practices - we've been unable to connect through these proxied phone numbers at all. We just get an out of service tone. Both at&t and T-Mobile. I have been assuming it's because too many people are calling. Next time I pickup, I'll ask for a direct line.

Fakespot.com is your friend. I'm fast finding their service indispensable. Also their iOS app is super convenient - you just share a link in the Amazon app with it, and you unmask all the fake reviews.

I'm so glad LG are sticking with a switchable battery - it's a must have feature for me. Lots of people have forgotten what it's like to grab a wall-charged battery, slip it in and run out the door with 100% power in a few seconds. Tethering your phone to the wall sucks. Clunky portable battery packs are the worst. I hope this phone sells well, it has my support.

I have used both T-Mobile and Aio heavily, and tethered off of both of them using various Android phones. Never had an issue.

T-Mobile's 5GB plan is a better way to setup a hotspot (with a stock Android phone) than a lot of purpose-build hotspots.

I concur with the Skype 5 degraded UI. I also have a warning to others:

After struggling to see the benefit of Skype 5, I wished to downgrade back to the previous version. However, I couldn't find a link anywhere on the Skype.com website for previous versions. As a result I searched on Google and found a third-party website offering previous versions for download (http://mac.oldapps.com/skype.php?old_skype=37).

I downloaded and installed the older version, and logged into my account. Later that night I received an email from Skype confirming a purchase for an "Online Number" that I hadn't made. I immediately logged in to investigate and I could see the transaction pending. I managed to log into Paypal and remove Skype from my trusted billers in time.

I believe that the version of Skype I downloaded was stealing login credentials. Let this be a warning to others that are trying to roll back their Skype client!

I emailed Skype's security team (after long minutes trying to find a very hidden contact link on their site). The response was cookie cutter, but ridiculously contained a sales pitch for the very feature that was just illegally purchased from my stolen account! This was infuriating - like a slap in the face from Skype considering my state of mind:

I love the mixtape designer - well done guys! My favorite is the "gloss" slider. If only every web2.0 website had one of these so you could turn it down (and save the batteries)! :P

I think your Camino issue may have been because you need flash player 9 installed. Normally the browser would upgrade for you, but a link was broken (has been corrected now).

In regards to the slowness - the old PowerBooks ran flash horrendously. This has now been rectified with the Intel macs - I can remember how badly flash used to run on my old powerbook, but since getting a MacBook Pro it's much better. Of course our player hasn't gone through the rigorous optimizing we have in store for it (it's just early days yet!).
