Even more unpopular, you have a choice to work. To work at Amazon.
We haven't really hit a true recession yet, esp for the laptop class. I think you will see more of this.

Remote work should just be for call center type jobs (where the feed of work is consistent); sales people that constantly visit clients (which doesn't happen much now ); or extremely talented superstars.
For everyone else that has a bad commute and wants to be home, they should consider retiring or get one of the jobs above.
If people can't don't 5 days in office, they should move to a 4 day work week and get 80% of pay.
Now we know where the phrase, “Grandma, this salad tastes like $hit” comes from.
This is very sad. On comparing city safety. SF has 1M people and 55 homicides. Jacksonville, FL has 1M and 162. Is there a reason people in the US seem to highlight SF more in situations like this?
Possibly this is the real reason the order was cancelled. Once the unit/case thing was figured out, the distributor realized they’d have to pay 6x more or the seller realized they were getting paid 6x less. The deal fell apart.
Elon on Twitter recently has reminded me of the headache I got from Trump on Twitter. Non stop. Every day. I know it’s my choice, but I’m worn out by it.
Apple Watch rings sort of did the same for me. Helped to also have done at the same time as my wife - so I guess that is similar to your motivation.
Maybe I missed it. What classifies as a workout in your model with your brother?
For me, I weigh myself every morning and have that go to an app. I use an Apple Watch and close my rings every day. Some days I get the exercise ring through a long walk, sometimes more aggressive exercises. And when I was really trying to lose weight I used the Lose It app to log food (and learn about what I eat). The combination worked for me.
I think it can still work and be helpful. It lets you triage the most important emails first and the. Go through the cc folder after. The only issue is your iPhone, as you might only see main inbox come in there and you could not notice something g timely.
Not great, not terrible.
I am sure that is the case sometimes. And you are not wrong. However, the article shows a video of an attack in progress on a Windows 10 machine.
How did the whole Apple Records v Apple thing work out...

Wow, I have a completely different take on this article. Us techno-geeks that can fix proxy settings are low-end commodities nowadays. (Outside of a tech company) - the lawyers, doctors, salesmen that want to work and drive revenue don't need to mess with that. Newer computers and OS's do shield a lot of that, and that is a good thing. They can hire a few IT dorks to plug things in if needed. That is the future. There was a time that a car mechanic was looked at as an engineer or scientist. Now he is a wrench turner. Get used to it. Now, should people dump tech problems on you? No. Just like it is not considered right to show your rash to your doctor friend while at Starbucks. That is a different issue.
Why doesn't something like this affect the University of Michigan's tax exempt status? http://compliance.umich.edu/tax/tax.html
Should'nt your manager have been able to think through the process of moving the car even without your detailing, and if he\she hit a wall or wasn't going to meet the deadline, come to you with questions before the meeting and the deadline date?
It somewhat reminds me of the speech Steve Jobs was said to give employees when they're promoted to management at Apple, which has been called the "Difference Between the Janitor and the Vice President."
Jobs tells the VP that if the garbage in his office is not being emptied regularly for some reason, he would ask the janitor what the problem is. The janitor could reasonably respond by saying, "Well, the lock on the door was changed, and I couldn't get a key."
It's an irritation for Jobs, but it's an understandable excuse for why the janitor couldn't do his job. As a janitor, he's allowed to have excuses.
"When you're the janitor, reasons matter," Jobs tells newly minted VPs.
"Somewhere between the janitor and the CEO, reasons stop mattering," says Jobs, adding, that Rubicon is "crossed when you become a VP."
In other words, you (a manager) have no excuse for failure. You are now responsible for any mistakes (or delays) that happen, and it doesn't matter what you say.
