Not a chance. For any globalisation / unification force there is an equal and opposite force pulling towards autonomy / authenticity / diversity. Language is a very core component of human identity.

You don't seem to understand much about evolution, or life. Claiming that evolution is a random, unguided "whatever works" process is mere ignorance. To everyone who has ever looked around (or listened around, or sensed around) even for one moment, it is beyond obvious that not only evolution works "by design", but that this design is supremely personal and the ultimate in creativity. So the implied negative connotations in your "creationist" label are misplaced.

Let's put it this way: there is nothing I would do in Python, that I wouldn't do in Elixir. For all intents and purposes, that's general purpose.

Elixir _is_ the correct answer. Not sure what you mean by "narrow focus" - it is as general purpose as anything. Only thing holding me back from fully moving from Python to Elixir is that the ecosystem isn't mature enough yet.

You are clearly incompetent about the subject. The "ideal" of communism and the practice of communism are not two different things. Communism is practiced precisely the way it is theoretically intended to work.

Communism is a cleptocratic system of ruling and exploiting the manual labour and natural resources of any given territory inhabited by unambitious masses that largely lack individualism. The core of the system relies on individualism and personal achievement being punished and forcefully suppressed, while the masses are continuously promised vague ideals of equality and justice (much like with any other system of government - nothing innovative here. ) There is nothing acceptable about communism - not in theory, not in practice, not in ideals - nothig.

Do Americans actually sincerely believe that they live in an actual "free society" / "democracy" / whatever... Blows my mind.

In a context like global politics, where you can never even hope to have any access to any actual "facts", there are no arguments - only manipulation of "opinions". So the agenda of the author is the ONLY thing that matters.

There are hardly any ideological differences between this celebrated sultan and the ISIS (Daesh) religious leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Their ambitions are also largely identical.

Incidentally, Russia freed my country (Bulgaria) from the oppression of the Turkish (aka Ottoman) empire 300 years ago. Today, Russia again seems to be the only country with the will AND capability to fight ISIS (Daesh).

Try opening a bank account in the UK, if you think it's hard in Estonia. Unlike Estonia, you CAN NOT just come to the UK from a foreign country and open a bank account. Even if you've lived here for a while, it's still an unbelievably ridiculous, frustrating and wasteful process.

Let's start with having to call the bank weeks or months in advance for an appointment, like everything else in the UK. Even though your appointment is for a specific hour, once you arrive on time, be prepared to wait hours before someone sees you. You will then need two different proofs of address, alongside endless other documents. For a business account, you need all partners to be present at said appointment and you will be asked endless questions about the nature of your business and your expected cashflow. If for some reason your conversational English happens to be not so good, be prepared to be flat-out refused a bank account, without much explanation. All of this is usually justified by Know-Your-Customer and anti money lanundering procedures, which is a bit ironic, considering that HSBC are the ones doing all the money laundering to begin with.
