A test that would use 100 lambda functions in parallel from each of the 4 regions and run for 5 minutes would cost about 3 USD. That should achieve a concurrency level of 100,000. That would be the most expensive test possible at the moment. Smaller tests are basically free.

After trying to learn iOS, and OS X programming before that, I finally decided to make it my full time job. No more excuses for not having time, and no loss of focus either. Six months and many iterations later, Photopoll got approved yesterday and is finally on the app store. After years of Ruby development, I find Objective-C to be a very refreshing change.

I recently stayed at a US hotel that had a couple of USB ports for charging devices. Since I don't like having to buy even more adapters just for travelling abroad, being able to charge all my devices at the same time was pretty handy. Are USB ports in hotels common in the US?

At the moment there isn't much value except for it looking nice. However, once I implement referrers properly, it's good to see where traffic is coming from. When it comes from a discussion you are still not too late to act.

Also, having an API call that returns the trending content of the site can be used on the site itself.

I like the stability of ActiveRecord. It was also to show that it's very easy to use the Ruby MongoDB driver just for some data. I have thought about changing it in the future to use only MongoDB, but not just yet.

I'm sorry to hear that the site doesn't render properly on Firefox 3.0. We are using @font-face and the Pictos icon set for the icons, and only newer browsers support it.
