I saw that their papers had your letterhead, so I was able to calm them down a bit by showing them my papers, which also had your letterhead.

In the past two weeks in San Francisco, I have seen:
- Cruise car stopped dead in the middle of Oak street at Divisadero, at night, with no emergency lights on.
- Waymo car driven onto the sidewalk to pick up a passenger on Scott street at Haight street
- Waymo car stopped, blocking the whole road on Carmelita street because it started a 3 point turn and then decided it didn't have enough room to continue
- Cruise car swerving out in front of traffic from the kerb on Divisadero at Ellis street without signaling
The point is that with a constant amount of assaults, and fewer potential victims, you are more likely to be a victim.
And the 19 year old who didn't want to go on the submarine but wanted to spend time with his dad? Was he reckless? Was he worth searching for?
What's your definition of reckless? Were the boys stuck in the cave in Thailand reckless? Should we not have rescued them? Where is the line of who is deserving of our sympathy?
This past weekend in SF, I saw a driver slow and stop to reverse parallel park on Bush Street at Fillmore. An automated Cruise car stopped right behind him, blocking the driver from reversing into the parking spot. The guy got out to yell at the driver to back up, but then saw that it was driverless.
He drove off, and someone else got the spot.

Record breaking profits are caused by, not the cause of, inflation as goods and services get more expensive while the cost of labour takes time to catch up. This is well known economic theory.
Did corporations suddenly become greedy in 2021? No, they were always so.
What if we're thinking about inflation all right?
Huge stimulus programs over the past five years absolutely overcooked the economy and fueled high inflation. Fiscal policy, hands bound by the rise of populism, is doing nothing to help, while central banks, free from the constraints of worrying about electability, are using the only tool they have to try stop the bleeding.
The solution, of course, is to tighten fiscal policy in the way of reducing spending or increasing taxes. But that's political suicide.

Given the recent seizure of crypto accounts funnelling money to Hamas and Iran[0], this seems pretty sensible, to funnel more financial activity in the region onto platforms that have good AML/ATF processes.
