They are 'overlooked' because many papers have falsified results or are outright wrong.

Over a decade ago, I was going to a tech group with a supposed security leader (that ended up getting a huge buyout from Cisco a few years ago).

A student wanted to create a project that bypassed the GF of China. He basically told him he was an idiot, it was impossible, and discouraged the student from even trying. This was a hacker (the security leader) at one point in his life, that claimed to support the freedom of speech and expression.

The actual reason he said this to the student is because he supports the government in China. Many other comments I heard after this proved to me that this is true. My guess is that his startup even received funding from the Chinese government.

It's really disappointing that tech leaders can publicly support murderous regimes like the Chinese government for decades with no blow back. They are far worse than Putin/the Russian government and have 100X the money and technology.

Incorrect. AI takes thought and creativity from previous humans and students can and will use it as a shortcut.

I'm so glad the GDPR never took hold in the US. Little Karens getting companies fined millions of dollars over what amounts to nothing.

You can always not use their service. Plenty of alternatives out there.

I knew lots of people making good money doing gig work.

This ended when the Democrats decided that gig workers deserved full-time benefits and ridiculous wages.

It cut the overall workers by a very large amount (which was predicted by anyone that put a few minutes of thought into it) and all of the people I know can't make money anymore.

I find that the people complaining the most about billionaires, don't put much effort into help others.

You can always give away labor, in the form of volunteering.

If you want fulfillment, make your own side projects. Most companies will start requiring some form of LLM for development, and they don't really care how you get to the end goal.

What I think is funny is that Steve Jobs also had very little technical knowledge and was just as much of an asshole, yet he's worshipped in the tech community. Musk doesn't have to be a 'real engineer'. Most 'real engineers' would obsess over mundane details and rarely think about the bigger picture or making a profit.
