In case you are still reading this: Any plans to add RSS etc.? I might be in a small minority, but for me my feedreader is the central source. If I can't subscribe via feed, it doesn't exist for me. That's the way I'm following Techmeme and also Hacker News (with the minimum points set to 80 to show up in the feed). It's kind of annoying how many sites even in the tech field don't offer an RSS feed anymore.

I see you are getting downvoted, but it's still true. An Android app brings in a fraction of the revenue. In case someone wants numbers: Look for the total revenue of Apple's App Store compared to the Play Store and then look for the total number of devices for each. It's a huge difference.
Of course a business will cater to the lucrative platform first or even exclusively.

Exactly what I wanted to add. Every single time there is hard evidence what a failure FSD is, someone points out that they didn't use the latest Beta. And of course they provide zero evidence that this newer version actually addresses the problem. Anyone who knows anything about Software and updates understand how new versions can actually introduce new problems and new bugs …
Then the "optional software package" was/is the false advertising. And it is irrelevant how many people bought it.

He also seems to love the "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!" type of surprise tactic. Like when they cut access to plugin updates for all WP Engine customers from one moment to the next. He probably thinks it's a power move. To me personally it looks mean, weak, and pathetic. It's what a bully would do.
Even worse: It would be Google taking Spotify‘s app and renaming it YouTube Music. That’s what Matt did. They didn’t develop a new plugin and put it in place of ACF. They just took the existing one and pretend it’s theirs. It’s horrifying. How am I supposed to trust a system that’s governed by a single person that thinks this is okay?
Matt's behavior is inexcusable and shows that WordPress needs a complete restructuring without him. Too many sites rely on WordPress to endanger them because of one man's temper tantrum. I don't understand how you can defend this reckless behavior by him. Who cares what WPE could have should have done. He needs to step down immediately.
It's not about what WP Engine could have done, but how Matt acted. If he wanted WPE to use their own Plugin repository, he could have told them so and given them a date. But cutting off access to updates without warning to all these sites is inexcusable. Matt chose the "nuclear option" without realizing that the fallout would also hit WordPress and himself. In addition to hundreds of thousands of websites that had nothing to do with his gripes.
Man, that will be spectacular.
They don't right now, because they are still testing. They can't risk bringing the booster or the ship back over land, because they don't know yet how well and precise they can steer and maneuver them. When they've figured that out, we will see the first landing of a super heavy booster for recovery and that will be pretty spectacular I bet …
But that's not the point I think. The point to me is: 10 years ago, this seemed nearly impossible to solve. "Weird, impossible sci-fi stuff". Now I have this exact feature in the Photos app of my iPhone. It not only finds my dog in the photos, but correctly determines its breed. It's amazing! And it works locally on my device, no servers involved. But I'm sure many people would argue that it is not "real AI", because it is "just XYZ". So as soon as we figure out how to do it, it's declared banal. Like LLMs. I'm baffled by the people who think it's "just" this or "just" that. That little word "just" buries years of research and several breakthroughs. Somehow, AI is always what AI can't do yet. It's always the next thing. The noise of goal posts being moved is sometimes deafening. And people don't even realize they're doing it.

Not sure how your comment is helpful. You could make your point by actually making it instead of putting words in someone’s mouth.
AI is tremendously bad at working with Humans who actually have taste. You generate an AI image with the subject on the left; you ask for a revision, same image, but move the subject to the right side of the image; it changes too much, or generates new images entirely rather than iterating. Its not-obvious that this will get better because it is somewhat antithetical to the way the AI works.
You can mark parts of a generated image in Dall-E/ChatGPT and tell it how to change it. That’s generally called inpainting.
And you can iterate on the same image. For example by leaving the seed unchanged while experimenting with the prompt. Or by using image to image generation instead of text to image.
And then there are the endless ways to change the style of an image to get a desired effect.
And so on. So I personally wouldn’t subscribe to your hypothesis that these tools just show the average taste and people with their own taste can’t use them.

Uber and Lyft are not in the robotaxi business. And yes, a lot of these gig companies barely make any money as it is. Most lose money. They basically just hope to be the last one standing and to then rack up prices to a profitable level.
Then explain to us how they game it? The test is blind. You don't know which models give the answer. If you trick them into disclosing their name, it is discarded right away and doesn't count towards the score.
Genuine question, because as far as I know there is no feasible way to game this score. But if there is, I want to know.
