They are returned to the wallet they were sent from. It would then be up to the exchange to manually refund the ETH

This is genuinely super! I've already configured my firefox so that fb exists best within the non-public context. This means i will visit any website which uses fb monitoring, and so forth, and that i won't be logged in!
Very interesting. I'll be honest, I expected this to be vague and self-important but it was very concrete and made a lot of discussed-to-death topics interesting again. He sort of lost me about halfway through the paper but I suppose that's because he has a PhD and I don't.
