It has full read/write support for Notion data, with a local data store that live-updates async when data changes on Notion, including callbacks. And you can manipulate database entries using classes with columns mapped to slugified attributes.

Cool! Yep, you can install it on anything that runs Python (it's all written in pure Python, with no libraries that have binary dependencies). We run it on Raspberry Pi's, netbooks, server racks, Sandisk Connect hotspot devices, old Pentium III's, and now (thanks to python-for-android) even standalone on Android devices (which should be released soon). We want to support any old, existing hardware, as well as the cheapest stuff available off the shelf today.

We'd be curious to hear what state this was in. KA Lite is being used in prisons all across Idaho, and many in Washington state, some in New Mexico, Virginia, and a few others. In some cases, this is grassroots. We're figuring out ways to help overcome institutional resistance to make sure it can be accessed by as many prisoners as possible.

We did hear a story in Idaho where they walked in on prisoners watching a Khan Academy video about building a motor (https://www.khanacademy.org/science/discoveries-projects/dis...). Since motors are contraband (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Edc37hoSD7Y), they had to remove the video.

Yes, mobile compatibility is a big issue, given the flourishing of cheap mobile devices in the developing world. We will definitely do more work to make this a smooth experience on tablets.

And awesome that you mention that -- when I arrived at Khan Academy for my internship on the first day, I was handed a copy of Diamond Age, and told that "Sal wants all the interns to read this". It was an inspiring read for me; especially the notion that part of the goal of real education is to inculcate subversiveness. :)

Yes, I saw it a day or two ago, in a one-on-one chat. And now I feel bad for not having responded to someone else when I was busy, as they may have received a similar notice.

Having pre-submission pages (or anything leading to the submission of sensitive data) not be over HTTPS is more than just an issue of perception; for example, a network attacker can inject javascript into the unsecure form page and read/send off the credit card details before the form is even submitted.
