Sounds good. This will definitely be a service I keep my eye on as it grows.

Absolute love the idea. It's something I've been thinking about doing for a while now, but with a slightly different twist. (though I lack the skills myself to code it).

1. I assume you're going to be adding new stuff to it daily ?For example a quick glance in the videogames section and a few 'popular' podcasts I listen to are missing.

2. Would be great if you could "bookmark" a point in a podcast. Here's my thinking. typically I would use this app at work where I can't install itunes. So if I'm in the middle of a podcast and the day is done, I can bookmark and resume tomorrow. (just one simple use case example)

3. Are you planning to add a rating system to it? One of the major problems I have with itunes is it's hard to find stuff because there's just SO MUCH. (doesn't make sense I know..)

All in all great app and I'm sure I'll be on it pretty regular.

I was strongly considering this but since I'm going to be outsourcing most of the development I was thinking about how difficult/feasible it would be to do more or less 4 versions of the app. (2 free but restricted/ad supported for each platform AND 2 full featured versions for each platform)....

Thanks for the input. Any specific reason why you'd go free on android (with ads) but paid on iPhone?

Some very valid points raised in this article. I think the effects of fading attention spans is something that the world hasn't yet realized and eventually the long term effects may very well be far worse than we think.

Imagine having a whole generation of people with ADD like symptoms?

I actually Like that option, of giving them something 'useful' for now as opposed to cash. Other people like CEOs, entertainers etc, I'll give the cash option to which I'll then funnel to a reputable charity.

There are a couple other ideas I had toying around in my head, but after reading the articles you linked and what you're showing me I think I'll tread really carefully and see how it works out.

Hi Liedra. I DEFINITELY take your feedback as it really is a perspective I didn't think about.

As Marc mentioned the intent isn't/wasn't to exploit anyone for entertainment purposes. What initially wanted to do was raise people's awareness that homeless people aren't just all 'bums'. The best way to do this seemed to me to be to let them tell their story.

I agree I could do a transcript version of their story but I feel like:

1. That would be far less engaging, and as a result far fewer people would actually see their story (less people read nowadays that you think)

2. The chances that people would SEE, understand and lend a helping hand would be less. Think about it, would Ted Williams have ended up getting that HUGE break if his interview had just been a transcript? I feel like video is a much more emotional medium and as such would engage viewers far more.

However, the idea kind of transformed and I figured it would be better to interview ANYONE that people would find interesting and make them the offer. So by far most of the interviews will be people that are 'well off' that the public finds interesting.
