I wonder what the long term ramifications will look like of this debt. Even a democratic president won't be able to raise taxes enough to get debt levels back to a healthy level and the interest the US is going to owe is an alarming % of the federal budget. The US can say goodbye to the dollar being the world's reserve currency and goodbye to funding the programs that might spur renewed growth.

They do say crisis is an accelerator of the rise and fall of super powers!

This has been a time to rethink how we understand the markets. Macro economic conditions are in no way back to normal. How can we be approaching all time highs? I would predict a market correction but what do I know? I am simply in shock with the state of the market. Maybe I underestimate the growth of retail investing?

From a consumer perspective this just doesn't entice me. I feel like you have to use Uber as your main form of transport for this to be worth considering at all at this price point. Haven't really run the numbers though and maybe I am indeed not the target for this but from first glance I can't see this working out, especially with our good friend Covid making Uber so attractive!

Not saying the partying behavior is justified but Travis is such an easy enemy for tech journalism. If I had a billion dollars I'd probably be traveling the world too if I could do it safely. Displays of exuberant capitalism can be obnoxious, but don't we need the spending right now anyway? I'd add that I think expenditure on education and subsequent experimentation is not a bad thing especially in the face of a struggling US education system.
