What a strange article. It launders core parenting care tasks such as clipping toenails, toilet training, teaching your kid to ride a bike and just being there while they explore their space in with things I don’t think anyone would object to outsourcing if they had the resources like breaking down boxes and handyman services.
In any case the parents that outsource the parenting are paying to give away a part of their humanity.
YT can be/was empowering for the viewer. Product choices have made it far more of a pointless timesuck and consumer hostile but it still remains the place where I can find a video of a guy taking the front off the same model dishwasher that I have to fix the latch in the soap dispenser while he points out how to do it without permanently destroying the clips that hold it together.
A lot of people miss this but Atto 1 is only a four seater.
Now driving on the correct side of the road, but wrong side of the roundabout!
Neil’s reign of terror knows no limits.
Cars are driving on the wrong side of the road - presumably in terror of His Neilness!

Basically changeable with normal tools and safely without risk of destroying the battery or product.
I bought a BYD that is as close to that as I could.

You can do that, once, if you want to trigger an avalanche of realignment away from the U.S.
Not only would you lose the 450 million odd EU customers, but the rest of the world will reconsider doing business with you as well.
I don’t need it now but this was a godsend a few years ago.
The administration is trying every single angle they can to make congress-less tariffs stick. The latest is slapping a bunch of countries with 10% because they claim those countries insufficiently prevent goods produced by slaves from being imported which makes it unfair for producers in the U.S.
Might be true but it’s hard to take that argument in good faith at this point.
I live in Australia and local governments are too small and cause idiotic delays to things. They’re always being taken to administrative tribunals and losing and the state government periodically has to suspend their planning powers to make progress happen.
I liked the government structure of the ACT when I lived there with a territory government that also had all the local government responsibilities for bins etc.
Come really, really far south (to Australia) and you’ll find we don’t require voter ID.
Frankly it’s easy to dunk on the U.S. for a lot of things and it’s very short term gratifying to do so but don’t let yourself fall in to the trap of assuming your ‘little procedural important thing’ is universally accepted and it’s just those silly Americans who don’t get it.
you can also hold down the windows key and use the arrow keys to position the window left/right top left/top right/bottom left/bottom right.
And Windows-shift-up to make a window fill the vertical space of the screen without changing its width.
Weak reforms, I'm disappointed and will write to my MP to express that sentiment.
Frankly all advertising for gambling on TV, radio, social media, bus stops - everywhere - should be banned the same as we did for cigarette ads in the 90s.
It basically killed a bunch of racing teams that I was a fan of but it needed to be done.
Those factories won’t be run by Chinese automakers they’ll be shut down with the corresponding loss of jobs and secondary industries.
Gotta say I was annoyed at the time but deprecating the Australian car manufacturers last decade means we have no scruples about allowing cheap as chips Chinese EVs through the door and I’m loving it.
A month ago my debian 13 laptop out of the complete blue decided it wanted zero DNS. Might have been an update that did it I am not sure.
I was unable to resolve it and ended up reinstalling.
Interesting thing to tell people - this means any change of heart or apology from Marc should be viewed purely through a cold realist self interest lens and not be afforded any of the trappings of humanity.
Don’t anthropomorphise the lawnmower indeed.
Sounds like whoever is scheduling meetings need to adapt to a new asynchronous environment whereas many meetings isn't necessary.
I agree, and a lot of my 'participation' in these meetings these days is read the papers, write my opinion, attach it to the documents and tell people I'm not attending.
That said we're 5 years in to this thing and people haven't adapted.
Maybe they don’t have any further production of the 512GB M3 Ultra SKU planned and sometime in the next few months we’ll see an M4/M5 Ultra.
You should really read the article rather than judging it based on the title. The author establishes several reasons you might want to speak to others and highlights cultural phenomena where people seem to be yearning for more connection with strangers.
If after reading it you decide it’s not for you then that’s fine, it is as they say bean soup.
The people fined for doing the wrong thing are an absolute minority of voters and the majority supports this kind of thing.
If the majority of your citizens are breaking a law, then your citizenship clearly thinks the law is unnecessary.
Which law do you think the majority of the citizenship here is breaking?
Oh no?
Young kids carrying whisky on the school grounds isn’t really a threat where I live.
But to answer your question directly - kids having whisky and I can go after whoever sold/provided it to them using existing legal means if I think it serious enough.
What you've just said is a common refrain, if you haven't already seen it please take a look at these two videos that attempt to address part of what you're saying. I found them very interesting when I came across them years ago and it changed my view of what's possible or even good!

What is your proposed recourse for me as a parent if your kid shows my kid gore videos?
I'm not sure what you're trying to tell me.
I just ordered a 37,000AUD BYD, the "$25k (USD) car" that Elon used to promise was coming.
Seems like I'm not the only one with 2779 BYD EVs sold in the country in January compared to just 501 Teslas.[1]
