Yes, code generation tools are very relevant and useful. Obviously they can't generate everything but they can help a lot. With tools like Telosys or JHipster you can save many days of workload, especially at the beginning of the project with their bootstraping features.

Yes, using pragmatic code generators like Telosys can help a lot to save many days of workload. One of the main advantages of Telosys is that you can easily customize the templates and therefore generate exactly what you want (clean code, unit tests, etc)
