Hey Thanks for checking us out :)

At the risk of arguing with you, I am surprised you thought we argued in the previous comment reply. We thought SHOwnsYou was quite thoughtful in his feedback and had gone through the app. And the response was meant to be thoughtful as well. We genuinely found it useful and tried to emote that.

Just read it again and it still didn't read as argumentative.

I am not sure what the line in the sand is, just say 'thank you' I guess. :)

Thank you.

Hey, thanks for posting :) The two of us were sitting here staring at our Google Analytics & hoping you would comment too!

"There isn't much point to casually browsing the site right now" - Correct, we just came out of private beta, so the amount of data we have and what we have done to visualize it is quite nascent.

Deeper insight - This is our biggest focus right now. People do have a way to comment via the 'Add Update' button on their posts. But most of our testers right now do this via the API so they aren't doing more than maintaining their lists.

Face - Fun! I can share some conversion numbers on this. It almost doubled. Especially the silly ones like the bird and the ManBat :P kinda help to lighten the tone.

Login/Register - There's a big bold button to register once you post your first symptom. And there's a less prominent login/register icon before you post.

Design - Thank you, but even as you saw there's so much more to do especially in the way of onboarding.

Best for Last - Problem -> Solution or Solution -> Problem. There are 3 use cases this makes a ton of sense for. And we have to work hard to demo them as soon as you come in! One of them is that when you and your girlfriend are busy, how can you track each other's issues and get the casual help you may need without taking a break from work or leaving the comfort of your couch.

Thank you for giving it a whirl and very useful feedback!

+1 --> Already voted you up, but somehow that didn't feel enough. The irony of this isn't lost on me :P

Would love to show you a working example of a similar project with a public API. We have a number of users giving it a spin and would really appreciate the technical feedback. Email?

Agree 100%! The point that's important to remember about discoverability is that it is usually mission-centric.

e.g. - you want to discover the 'right' kind of people to follow, as to have better or more entertaining or more useful or _____________ information. What is 'right' for you may not be 'right' for me, since our goals most likely aren't the same.

I love Naveen's idea (and more importantly his implemention) & will be playing with it a bit more this weekend. But, the value may not be apparent right away.

Aggregating and mining one type of data across a relationship may be more valuable. It may be that I have to track a similar set of data for myself and my significant other to make sense of the aggregates.

About time! Besides the hype & price of Yammer, it really sucks at real-time comms for teams smaller than 5-6.

I have never had a chance to use it with a bigger team but at that size they have abysmal state management - if you have more than 1 conversation && use more than 1 device = notification_hell. Its just silly how badly they manage this stuff.

Just discovered Hall earlier today and so far, so good! Good job @bretthellman & team.

I never had a chance to meet Jody, but had connected with him online a couple of times. He couldn't have been more gracious with his time and knowledge.

Great loss to #startupville & the LA Scene.

Been using it on a fully loaded macbook air. Completely anecdotal but I think my boot times are faster. But my encryption seems slower. Safari is wayyy more stable and faster. Messages is integrated better and love Notifications!

Launchpad is way smoother imho.

Interesting idea.

Tiny typo. It should be 'live' not 'life'.

"So I'm betting £10k that I can build a portfolio of products which is profitable enough to life off before running out of money."

should be

"So I'm betting £10k that I can build a portfolio of products which is profitable enough to live off before running out of money."
