Wow! We're Silicon Valley-based startup and have been working on this idea for several months already! Feel free to join our closed testing that we've recently started: http://yoneibs.com/ or just shoot an email at yo@yoneibs.com (yoneibs@gmail.com)

imho, your example is not very good, because VCs don't give funding preferably to those with male names. According to the article VCs just "can’t see the world from a woman's perspective". Then the question is why VCs don't hire more female experts if they "can’t see the world from a woman's perspective".

well.. I've worked in Exxon Mobil for a while, now own a successful business and also CEO in a startup. Your point of view is acceptable for some small companies and startups, but if the company goes bigger, everyone just can't do everything, it's a chaos and loss of concentration.

There should be a specialization: some people are specialized in coding, others - in something else. A group of specialists together is better than a group of those who can do several things just not too bad.

Interesting. When I read the title, I was curious about the practical use of that photo until I read that this would lead to study DNA inside living cells.

Learning always takes some time, right? You've been here for 2 years , while I've registered just 18 days ago (started posting on HN about a week ago). I was a bit obsessed with karma accumulation, at the same time I was learning the community. Reading a lot daily I often find interesting articles or news, that I'd like to share with others. Don't blame me for my passion, I've already realized myself being overposting. However that has helped me to figured out fast what's interesting for people here. I'd say that was my small marketing research which gave me quick results. So now I want to step back a while, as you've said.
