Rightly so. Intercom are, in my experience, a facilitator of spam, dressing themselves up as some sort of communication revolution. I've had their IPs blacklisted on my own mx for two years or more.

Oh, that's how the kids talk these days! And TBH, I was able to laugh my way through most of it. (I would have cracked up otherwise.) I had low expectations, and once we got into Kafka territory I just decided to try and enjoy the ride.

I would like to think that the judge in this case, which is now a sprawling affair with EU and US groups queuing up to be joined to it, will have the nous to ignore the Business Software Alliance's rattling of an enormous moneysabre and confine himself to the privacy issues at stake. I wouldn't bet on it though; 1% of Europe's GDP is quite the figure to drown out wishy washy concerns like privacy.

Natural disasters are terrible. Voting for Pinboard is not terrible. I am certain that Pinboard sincerely wants to make full use of YC's resources, possibly in ways that will amaze and astound them. And I don't think that an unthinking cheerleader attitude to YC is a requisite here. If you like Cadwolf, vote for Cadwolf but - please - spare me the lecture on how I should vote.

I use vimwiki to collect, store and organise snippets links and references, then sync it to all my machines with unison. Helps if you're a vim user!

Good plan. I've started to print out man pages and using them for learning / reference. This post: http://macgeekery.com/tips/cli/pretty-print_manual_pages_as_... got me set up using groff to pretty-print the good stuff.
