Business travel might be an exception. Especially for companies who have to manage travel for their employees, and business travelers who want utility features that increase their productivity. Some ideas:

- Incentivize employees who share rides from/to hotel/airport traveling on same dates/destinations

- Show dates for destination that maximizes networking opportunities (in between conferences)

- Show locations with wifi in-between meetings

- Locations with ambiance ideal for business discussions

- Expense capture to identify opportunities for deals (employees love Starbucks during business trips, sign up for corporate deals)

If you have something exciting to talk about, public speaking is not such a chore (a joy in fact). The challenge is having content that's easy to make exciting.

If that's not possible for you, then try to get excited of the fact that you're out there to excite the hell out of something mundane. Surprise your audience.

Being in that state of mind alone should knock out the jitters.

One trick that helps me be productive is to expect that I won't finish an entire task in one sitting. I used to have this problem of procrastinating because I want to finish a task in one go. Now it's easier to break up work into chunks and work on them separately, knowing that eventually they'll all be finished (not working up myself too much in expecting I can finish them all).

I also found this book "Your Brain at Work" really helpful, especially in the chapter about what gets us motivated (a bit of anxiety coupled with novelty helps).
