We receive a lot of applications. But most people don’t qualify because we are looking for a specific skill set. Very few people make it to the initial phone screen and then a subset of them end up in the following rounds. I just looked at our typeform and found that we received 54 (72 the month before)submissions during the week when we posted on HN. (As they don’t specify how they found out about us in the Typeform, I am making an assumption here that 100% of the people who applied during that week was from HN).

I'm nostalgic for filling in those bubble sheets, even when I hated the tests themselves! They were a huge part of school culture.

Yes! In layman's terms: is the most efficient way to train these robots by showing them billions of videos of how it's done?

The prospect of robots able to manipulate liquids, cloth and other tricky materials shows how dexterous they're becoming. Major milestone. Exciting stuff!

I'm curious if MGM fully understood their cyber risks. Many companies underestimate threats until something like this happens. After seeing MGM, if other hotels beef up security too (very likely), will overall costs for consumers go up?

It makes sense that more career options exist today for highly intelligent people. Does this issue seem unique to the US or more widespread? Also, how can the military boost its appeal and compete for top talent? I don't think it's just a salary issue.

It's tragic to see poor and desperate people exploited like this. The Cuban government seems complicit while denying involvement - they need to take responsibility.
