I was at work the other day when I got a push notification that there was smoke upstairs from Nest protect. I left work immediately and arrived home to the smell of burning, an incense plug had been left in and was melting.

Can it have touch support so mobile browsers can interact with it? I can see that being incredibly useful as it allows you to have multiple actions on limited screen real estate.

I'm in the UK and we definitely hire without a degree. We do, however, require a few years exp. to make up for it.

I only have a LinkedIn account as the App I have requires me to have one. If I delete my account, my App goes too. If I create a new account just for the App, all my users have to re-link their accounts. Sucks.

I just signed up as a business and decided not to proceed. I don't like the upfront cost, I would much rather a pay-per-click model or a percentage of sales achieved. Feels like too much risk for an unknown, unproven service.

Any ideas on how? I have tried Facebook/Google/LinkedIn Ads' and didn't get much response, it's a high touch sales process that involves pointing out the problem they have, most are aware of social media, have created accounts but then do nothing with them.

I agree to some extent, but normally they would expect there money to be spent on marketing etc. rather than to cover my household bills?

I should mention the reason I haven't made an 'Apply HN' post is the money available ($20k) wouldn't be enough for me to cover my expenses and quit my job.

I think you're onto something here but don't realise quite how useful what you have can be in the right hands, with the right pitch.

Push the mobile side of things, right now every recruitment site has a brick wall where the CV upload is mandatory but every iPhone user cannot upload a file - you're solving that problem and then some.

My product is similar to HootSuite, Buffr etc. but by focusing on a Niche (Real Estate) I'm seeing promising traction. By focusing you're going to find it easier to reach potential customers and your product development will be cut down too.

I'm aware that I owe you an email reply OP, sorry I have been busy and have stopped cold emailing customers.

Right now, I'm selling to retail / real estate (http://www.retailwizard.co.uk / http://www.propertywizard.io) so to get customers I literally go to their workplace & ask them for 5 minutes of their time. I did try emailing as you know, but I have found going to speak to to them face-to-face to be more effective for my niche.

Obviously email works for other sectors, something I'm looking to explore again in the future.

Sorry if I have missed something, it's a cool project anyway and it's 100% solving a pain point many people feel when using Twitter.

Right now I spend my Saturdays going to a High Street and going shop-to-shop. If the manager/owner isn't in I'll follow up with a call to try and get a meeting.

Word of mouth is starting to bring in new business, my accountant has recommended a few people to me! :)
