It's a shame Apple didn't design this new port such that a microUSB cable could plug straight into one half of it (for charging only).

SamKnows measures the speed and quality of thousands of residential broadband services, for regulators and ISPs around the world. We need an experienced javascript developer to build a UI and data visualisation frontend which our clients will use for statistical analysis, and to identify problems in their networks.
Initially, you will be building a rich (and beautiful) data charting app, with an intuitive UI to allow for complex filtering and aggregation options. Further down the road, there will be the opportunity to work on many other visualisation projects, including mapping and mobile development.
If this sounds like you, and you've got at least four years experience as a javascript/frontend developer (ideally 6+ years) and preferably a little PHP, then please write to cvs@samknows.com for more details.

SamKnows is regarded as the global leader in internet performance measurement, and it's technology is used by governments and companies around the world.
We are looking for a smart, well-rounded developer with 3-5 years industry experience, to help us build data-driven web applications. There will also be an opportunity in the coming year to play a role in re-designing our existing system's data storage/backend, to allow us to scale to orders of magnitude more records than currently processed.
You have strong PHP, OO design, and SQL; you also speak Javascript, and use version control. Ideally, you will have a grounding in maths (especially statistics). Any of the following are advantageous: PHPUnit, Symfony, MySQL optimisation, jQuery, Linux, HTML/CSS.
