I tough you're referring to their recent outage event (yesterday). Doesn't make sense to have such events at their level. Or is it something fishy there..

Agree with you, I always felt frustrated by signing on pads and not only on Hospitals but Banks as well. I tried to fix this by building a platform for using iPad where one can see the whole document, something like docusign but focused on tablet-based signing. We’ll see how it goes
Agree. I just want to know from a founder what was his/her approach. Knowing that "it is possible" is enough to encourage one to do further research and eventually hire a lawyer. Better than hiring one first for no reason.
I deleted my Amazon account last week after trying to find the list of services I was subscribed to, like S3, ElasticSearch, etc. You would not believe how frustrating that is.
Where did you look for finding that your idea was already patented ?
The real question is: if wood is so inexpensive, why the price of a wood house is close to 1mil in Silicon Valley?
Investigating this should be your part. The fact that the democracy itself is threatened with nationalism ideas should be a big warning sign. Look at their political scene, seems like there is not much opposition left and without it the future is dark. Maybe your headaches are a good thing, signs for a bad decision.
Virtual Reality. It will be a drug when it is going to completely replace the reality and, as with other drugs, the addiction will make it highly valuable.
Didn’t you read the newspapers before moving ? EU has just two problematic-countries regarding the control of politics over the justice. They are Hungary and Poland. Why would anyone move their wallet in a country that has shut down foreign universities? No more freedom of speach, no law to help you, a high dose of nationalism - that’s what your choise is.
We got into a point where the work worth less than the meeting. The client loves talking and as long as he feels listened, everything is ok, we got the freedom, he gets the audience. I am planning to quit as it gets nowhere.
So, what is your next project fellow woodworker?
1. Use proper monitor resolutions. E.g. 24” FullHD, 27” 2k, 32” 3k, 36” 4k. This affects the distance you have to stay against the monitor.
2. Background lighting. Have a lamp on the back of your screen.
3. Stay perpendicular to the screen. Otherwise one eye gets faster the information than the other and you feel dizy.
4. The phone screens are incredibly strong regarding their lighting. Limit their use, replace with a tabled whenever possible.
Woodworking. I’m 40+ and I enjoy old-fashion woodworking whenever I have spare time. I also have in mind to learn piano in the near future.
So I am not alone
There are 4300 religions in the world. All were invented long time ago for expaining what the brain could not understand. The truth is that the religion we should all believe into was not yet invented.
Yet another news website? There are a ton of competitors for capturing the user’s time up to a point that it is unbearable.
Supporting Amazon’s competition is the way to go. The next one I know of is shopify that is essentially an ecommerce platform hosting thousands of small stores. But they don’t have the vision to unite them (yet).
As a team owner, there is an opposite concern: we did several projects for a client with the promise that at some point there will be a startup where we'll be included as founders. More than two years passed and, although paid regularly, there is no indication that something will change in the direction we started. So I am planning to end it.
Now, it may be an idea to have a chat to see if there is any common ground between our worlds. Find me at iordachej at gmail
PHP just let the community write examples in their docs and the results were spectacular. Some years ago they removed that part but had to put it back shortly due to massive requests. Could be one of the key decisions they made at the very beginning that turned their language into one of the most popular ever made
Die in sadness and alone
Aws for API gateway, servless functions, authetication and user storage. Not sure about the payment part, but you can try also with them. Also host static sites with them.
And yet I got -2 points for this. The world is full of envious ppl.
Are you an investor? I am curently working on proving a concept for a SaaS that can scale at MM within couple of years.
It is CORS that restricts running foreign javascripts in your page. Clearly a win
Although it is mentioned that one can participate out of curiosity, there is a registration form with 8-9 steps asking tons of details. I gave up in the middle, clearly not for me

“Magnificent app which corrects your previous console command”
It is a fair question because the number of domain names grew to 326 mil while the maintenance costs it probably way less than $1/domain. And it is definitely not a price set by "market and demand" but rather a monopoly. And tell to people of some 3rd world country that $10 is reasonable.
Or send them to Europe as English teachers. They'll have a pretty decent life and have access to medical services.
