Ha ha, spring security is tricky and high chance may surprise some one while "boot"strapping a new project. But once done, it is out of way.

I did not like much of the XML, because it always seemed lot of duplication. All you doing is copying bean definitions and changing bean id and class/interface most of the time. But it became non issue over time. Now spring boot made it really easy with all those annotations.

Spring Boot and Spring cloud for backend & graphql for the win. ;-)

Dell sales ubuntu preinstalled on some of their laptops. I have used Inspiron and Latitude for a decade without any issues.

Meanwhile my macbook pro had decided not to boot anymore third time. It will go to dust bin now.

So question can be how much of Z, you can let go (assuming you want to market to future customers, using this account as reference/example).

Question is, are they actually going to onboard all 5000+ ? You don't want to run in losses, if you offer rates, below your operational cost. May be ask them to do pilot run with subset of user with same rate, how much pain they will cause? Then, you can decide accordingly.

Me and along with people who do not work on DotNet or iOS app development, that includes Java, PHP, BI, Salesforce and even Sales and Marketing guys use Ubuntu for last 15 years (50 - 70 people). We do normal dev stuff like program & emails & meetings & docker and etc.

When I installed Ubuntu on HP Pavillion dv4 laptop for one of the friend, who was casual user, said - what kind of OS is this, which is still working after 6 years. :)

Social proof related behavior are not changed easily, but they eventually. Despite availability of email, people were still writing letters. In longer time frame, people do adapt.

All jobs are thinking jobs, with varying degrees of physical effort. E.g. From A senator/congressman have to physically present in senate/congress, to argue/vote their case/bill (which comes from feedback from their followers, requires physical interaction) to bricklaying/road building/whatever you can imagine to lowest level. Some require more thinking and some less.

I am sure everyone felt ecstatic at some point, regardless of their trade or field, when they worked on something all day or longer and got it done. The sheer joy it brings afterward makes your mind completely calm; past and future cease to exist for that moment. There are always going to be people like that.

AI or no AI, 20 years from now, people will still be writing software because it just makes them happy. Sure, the nature of problems will change, but these are the people who will keep pushing the field forward.
