It's been a great resource, full of years of accumulated wisdom from the authors and the wider community.

My wife has had the same thing happen to her today. Her Google+, and by extension, her YouTube account through which she promotes her work (she's a musician) were suspended, apparently without any notification.

There's an appeals process, and she's linked to her website and Facebook profile and submitted a photocopy of her passport to prove her name. Does anybody here know how long this is likely to take, or the chances of it being successful?

I don't think it does have a technical use. You certainly couldn't use this technique to generate new primes, since the fractions have been deliberately chosen based on the primes they will generate.

As it stands, it's just a fun mathematical curiosity.

Note that since this article was written (2004) CPython performs an in-place optimisation for assignments of the form

    s1 += s2

I've just done the first week's lectures and exercises. They assume you know Java, but if you don't you're pointed in the right direction for suitable resources.

This is exciting for Django, and it's exciting for OSS in general, as it demonstrates the viability of crowdfunding (certain) OSS development.
