I'm being picky here, but the word "proven" doesn't really make sense in the context. A more accurate way of expressing the title would be "Evidence supports a different theory" or "Less support for this theory", as theories can never be proven.

Is this a serious argument? One could say the same thing about:

1) The advent of modern gardening and genetically modified crops. With increased efficiency, where will the extra farmers go?

2) The advent of computers. What will happen to books? The tree cutters? The people who ship the trees to the lumber plant?

I could go on and on about ANY technological advance in the last 200 years. I don't see how cars are any different that will bring "marxism or communism".

Certainly all true points. However, for the people without the luxury of 16GB (I'm running on an old machine, with 3gb of RAM), Chrome consistently freezes the computer due to the resource hogging. I've learned my lesson and switched to Firefox.

Amazon Studios has been out for at least 4 months previous to the writing.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this isn't a brute force attack, its a dictionary attack. A brute force attack would go through every iterattion, like 00001, 00002...

they have been DOS'ed today (see: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=3438134), its a probable reason why hckernews isn't working.

Not relevant to Hacker News. Please don't turn it into a Reddit.

Guidelines (http://ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html) state:

> Off-Topic: Most stories about politics, or crime, or sports, unless they're evidence of some interesting new phenomenon. Videos of pratfalls or disasters, or cute animal pictures. If they'd cover it on TV news, it's probably off-topic.

> HN is solely responsible for this

Several communities worked together, such as the tech blogosphere, Reddit, and other social media. Although HN may be the birthplace of the idea to boycott Godaddy, its hardly just HN being responsible.

Slightly off topic, but its a pet peeve that gadgets don't actually show (the limitations of) their product. See for example, their video camera: http://puu.sh/aKx3. The "video" taken is obviously not by the built in vidoe camera.

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic, but the parent was offering advice for accessibility to help the member's of the community improve on their projects. Why would you disapprove of that?

ML-class does not necessarily apply to all other 10 courses offered by Stanford. I would not be surprised if they weren't given for the entrepreneurial classes offered.
