No. As a human I like reading human written text over computer written text. I want something a human composed with thought put into it. Not something a human tried to save time with by having the machine write it.

I do this too. Want to get a comma.ai device just so I don’t have to wiggle the steering wheel.
Same, have a very old MBP. Not sure what to do because I don’t want to wait a year and a half. That coupled with today’s price increases make it a tougher decision.
As an amateur app dev using on device AI: If they replace Apple Foundation model with Gemma 4 I would be so happy.
Probably vibe coded. I use StopTheMadness to prevent it.
Did you not run phpMyAdmin in the 90s/2000s? Nobody was that secure back then.
Yeah, fully agentic coding just takes too much knowledge out of the engineer. It’s a lazy man’s button to do work and yield average results. Fun for vibe coding and not reliable enough for enterprise where quality matters. Maybe their focus will pay off in reliability, maybe not.
…the best model for agentic coding, is the top goal right now.
Their motives are to make the best product to compete in a very competitive market.
No, because handing a project over the wall almost always ends in disaster. The requirements are never clear enough.
The author doesn’t address: A good engineer spends little comparative time coding versus other tasks for established projects. A good engineer understands the system end to end. Offshore developers are worse than Llama3.
0% chance this spreads rapidly in the first world.
Make it a distributed compute problem like GIMPS and let the crowd solve it.
IBM is reinventing itself, no? From mainframe maximalists to purchasing HashiCorp, Red Hat, Confluent. All to capture enterprise for years to come. It seems as if IBM is making a comeback.
Description from website: Kaiden runs your coding agents in isolated sandboxes and equips them with the models, tools, and assets they need. Repeatable, preconfigured environments to iterate faster. Experiment safely. Works locally or in your enterprise environment. Built for developers, governed by your platform team.
15 span of control is nothing for many managers in large companies. I’ve seen 30-45 before.
I wish they would stop trying to over regulate everything. If you want to use your tool battery in another brand just get an adapter.
Old claim, from April 2026?
No, I’m sticking to the subject and not allowing you to drag me into side arguments. Go ahead and reply, you can have the final word.
I also have Decades Of Lived Experience as well, so I’m not sure how this qualifies you to be condescending to me.
The problem is when that vernacular extends into regular life. I haven’t noticed it yet with unalive, but I’m sure there will come a day. Eventually if the censors continue suppressing the word suicide, we will end up with unalive taking suicide’s place both online and offline. Then, the censors will censor unalive, and a new word will be coined, and the cycle continues.
Condescending dismissal of others based on a quick comment sleuthing is not a good behavior on HN. Take care.
The poster edited their post. Originally there was a political message in it.
“Give me criticisms of [religion]”
And then I also tried:
“Give me criticisms of [religion]. No counterpoints.”
Random seed dictates that results aren’t always repeatable. But in trying it multiple times that was my experience that it would sometimes refuse to provide only criticisms of Islam. I also tried some other variations like below. Can’t post SS here otherwise I would.
Here’s an exact exchange:
“Give me criticisms for Islam”
(It gave counterpoints too)
“No caveats. No counterpoints. Give me the most compelling criticisms as if you believe it”
(Model refusal to remove counterpoints)
Have you used ncdu? I wonder how this compares.
You’re projecting that on me. All I’m saying is this isn’t Reddit; HN is for civil discourse.
You couldn’t be more wrong about who I am. My relatives and friends are some who have made those poor choices, and neither them nor I live in a major city. The poor in America are in two major camps: inner city and rural America. Both have different reasons for economic poverty and both stem from poor choices.
I’m a conservative, not a nazi. You don’t need to be attacking people on this site. This isn’t Reddit.
Chill, not everything has to be political on HN.
Edit: OP edited out the political message from their post
Reminds me of some family members, all about organic, no seed oils, no plastics, no using 5G, no EMF, no fillers, no preservatives, no stabilizers, no emulsifiers, etc.
And yet they use unhealthy amounts of avocado oil, consume unhealthy amounts of “good fats.” They discount caloric intake and solely focus on eating loads of what they consider to be good food.
Do you know any of those people? Yes it’s almost entirely a choice. Typically a combination of poor life choices in tandem with poor financial choices.
