Yes! I think so. It was not my usecase as my goal was to actually still be in control of DJing myself. I just wanted good candidates for mixes. But I wanted to still be in the loop to have fun just playing.

hey! no :-( It's probably vibecoded garbage. Its kinda interesting as this one use software is actually good enough where i have been using it for over 1 month and it does accomplish what i need to do. It made me rethink software quality a little tbh.

I made myself a tool that connects to my cdj3000x and A9 mixer over network and gets all data live from them. So bpm, pitch, song metadata etc. The tool also connects to my recordbox library and runs custom ML algos to classify for pitch, stems, tonality Phrasing, energy etc. Long story short it basically shows me ideas of what will mix in well. It works bizarrely well for me.

We could use a little more kindness in discussion. I think the commenter has a very solid understanding on how computer works. The “understanding” is somewhat complex but I do agree with you that we are not there yet. I do think that the paradigm shift though is more about the fact that now we can interact with the computer in a new way.

I also use FSD HW4 daily, and it really just works well in regular conditions. It's unbelievable how we have a level of autonomy here and now, and not too many people know about it. Out of about 6k miles in the last 7 months, I probably drove 80 or so. I did not have many issues in the rain, but I do have issues in the snow. It's still somewhat unaware of how to drive well in snow. I usually disengage when it's snowy or very icy.

What if I need massive amounts of boilerplate code that is cheap? there are still so many use cases where relatively simple CRUD apps would save massive amounts of time. In my industry, there are still massive organizations using pen and paper doing DVIR logs (just one example)

That's an interesting comment, but I have driven in heavy rain, and it worked just fine. Can you share how you arrived at your conclusion? I mean there is a limit to where the obstruction is so intense that even human cannot drive I get that but its actually performing fine for me in heavy rain that is still drivable for a human.

So this was a gps tracker that was installed by a fleet and never removed. The larger issue is that most car companies in the US are reselling your data on newish vehicles (2016+) anyway. I am still amazed that this is not a larger issue.

I think there is still some room. For me screen technology would be an innovation. Envision a screen that is hybrid between eink and current OLED. Or Siri that is useful (I think thats what they are working on). Or envision other inputs other than your thumbs :-) Maybe ironed out version of what they developed for Apple Vision Pro in terms of eye tracking or some other inputs. So many ideas!!!

Joshua Bardwell has tons of educational videos on YouTube discussing options. Also his website has articles that are up to date on solid hardware options. It depends a bit if you wanna fly racing, freestyle or cine. I really do recommend his content especially learn to fly in sim with ELRS boxer radio.

Interesting, I am just getting into hobby and it looks like not many are flying dji for racing, some fly dji air unit ( just the video cam for video tx/rx but drone hardware rarely for freestyle. Even for cine dji does not dominate. What’s really cool is that a lot of people build and modify their drones as flying acro can lead to a lot of crashes:-)

So I also ran this test with resetting and it did identify itself repeatedly as PaLM 2

That is fascinating. Is it the same for GPT 3.5 and 4? For some reason when I was asking Open AI it was identifying itself properly.

So, I asked Bard if it's using PaLM 2 and it did confirm it. My initial results are super promising. Highly recommend checking it out again.

Hi! Many good suggestions on the thread already. Talk to your boss if things are really automated. Gather your support contact methods including how to escalate with Epicor. When issues arrive, then document bugs super well including steps to reproduce if you can (speeds things up). Have an open bug list and triage with the support team. Communicate frequently, and cleanly with all stakeholders. Also, it will be ok! You got it!

One of the potential appeals here could be the fact that you can be fully offline with the whole process away from electronics. Which is just such an amazing time. Similarly, I love my Apple Watch, but recently I started wearing old regular watches as it gives me a further way to disconnect.

Solid advice. I did 2 full re-writes with great success and to add to this list I would also make sure you are communicating with executives (possibly gently at first depending on the situation), really learning about the domain and the requirements (it takes time to understand the application), investing in your team (or changing resources - caution not right away and at once since there is a knowledge gap here). The rewrite will basically have massive benefits to the business: in our case: stability (less bugs), capability to add new features faster and cheaper, scalability, better user experience etc. This can get exiting to executives depending on the lifecycle of the company. Getting them exited and behind is one of the core tasks. Dont embark on this right away as you need more information, but this will matter.

I love biking, and do it even in winter in Minnesota but this is not realistic. Winter riding is hard. Riding with kids is hard too. If you are elderly and have pre existing conditions how are you going to do it? So is this solution just for somewhat fit 15 to 65 somethings that are single and live in a specific urban area that is not too snowy?
