I know, I know, I have no sense of humor, and I'll lose what little karma I have, but oh how I wish I had enough karma to flag this. I came to HN because I was told it was the preeminent site for computing, technical material, and insight into startups and entrepreneurship.

I think I was mis-informed.

I also don't understand why it's being upvoted, unless it's just adolescent schoolboy humor. Is it true that on average, and with some exceptions, geeks generally have a maturity of 5 to 10 (or more) years less than their chronological age?

Is there a technical site with a more mature audience?

Indeed. It's not new, it's not news, and it's not really interesting.

write it in markdown of some flavor and make it as simple as you possibly can. then you can convert it to any target format you want.

start simply, use as little markdown or markup as you can get away with, and just start writing. futzing with the package or syntax or style or layout or anything else is a great way never to get actually writing.
