You can’t out-negotiate biology, and it doesn’t take polls. People don’t consciously think ‘time to repopulate,’ they think "let's sleep together'.
Tonight is really as good a time as any to make a baby.

I canceled my Instant Ink subscription last month $5/month at $60 a year is worth going to costco and picking up a Cannon Laser printer for $200.
Salesforce just announced a hiring freeze and word on the street is that in the next 30 days they are going to be cutting staff.
So much for that hire 3,000 people! Hiring Freezes ALWAYS come 1 to 2 Quarters BEFORE layoffs. Freeze are one of the few levers companies have before layoffs, the challenge is that attrition is a real thing and existing employees are over worked.
Had twins last year, am 45, they make EVERYTHING worth it.

The way to think about it is simply this: Who do you want at your funeral and what do you want them to remember you for?
Tell that to Too BIG to FAIL banks…look at the Billions given from the government to lobbying companies.
Look at the corporate raiders of the 1980s. Firing people, loading up a company with debt. And taking them bankrupt makes a ton of money for private equity. No product required, immensely profitable!

You are mistaken.
The purpose of a company is to make a profit and provide a good or service. In that order. Everything else is a hobby.

There are F500 companies that have built Decades old businesses that to this day run on MS Access. See the move to PowerPlatform.com for access workloads. One of the largest maintenance/cleaning companies for hospitals across the US still has 1,000s of forms submitted in access every day.
The problem with Amortization in the consumer space is the lifetime of the device. Sure, you can keep running a computer for year 6 instead of the standard 5 years...but 90% of consumers don't - What machines from 2016 are you using today? If you do, let's get serious you're already looking to upgrade in the near future, no?
You are already paying a subscription for an OS. How old is your computer, 4 years-5 years old? Take $200 (cost of OS) and it's $40 or $50 a year or $3-4 dollars a month. Same applies for Apple Mac OS you just pay the $200 in the price of the $2,000 computure.
$50M of opportunity for the founders to next time burn $500M on their friends. ;-)
I am playing with this tonight, but I have twins! So i'm curious about trending difference between babies - so meta! Very cool!
Rinse and Repeat. Rinse and Repeat during next year's 2024 recession.
Hosting your own email has gotten worse not better.
If drivers are on their phones and hit an attendant, than that'd be a nice payout from the driver's insurance \ negligence.
Or you know you could enjoy having a brief conversation about sports, or the weather, or their kids, or the latest celebrity gossip while waiting.
At the places I go to frequently I'm on a first name basis and I see the photos of their kids and share about what's going on in my life.
Face-to-face interactions are much more social than nameless, faceless, speaker boxes.
Think of it as a chance to make 4 people smile, briefly laugh, and get your food. Hopefully those 4 people can make you smile, laugh, and have a tasty meal!
Get to a Church and attend every program they have.
It's a good thing that there SO many MORE nice places... See Montana\Idaho plenty of room, plenty of broadband (even FIBER).
Can you make an option for the summaries to be longer?
Yes I would pay for the ability to generate videos like this, too!
Church Men's Group at 5:30am on Friday mornings. 18-20 guys from all ages 12 to 93 show up. It's a really great way to stay in touch with where you've come from and where you're going.
Sounds horrible, no more details needed. [redacted]
1) I'm sure every one of these companies got 0% interest rates in 2021 and 2022 from the Federal Reserve. I'm going to wager that the terms of those interest rates had certain hiring quotas. Now that interest rates have increased, I'm sure that the Fed now has lay off quotas.
"cruel twist of fate." no Alec Baldwin was not responsible as both a producer and actor, now he is being held accountable as he was in every sense of the word responsible for manslaughter...even involuntarily.
Cruelty is reserved for the grief of the individual who had their life abruptly ended, and the grief of family of the deceased.
In very large companies, to keep it confidential and SILENT large layoffs are usually known only to about 10 people. The CEO, a board member, 3 lawyers, 1 finance, and usually 4 HR executives. It's really not about who...it's about percentages and what the new budget numbers have to look like. Then it's off to filter by say salaries and reduce count of number of employees impacted.
