I completely understand how OP feels. but the sad truth is when companies grow bigger, bureaucracy happens. i dont believe other giant tech companies are doing any better. you either suck it up and play the game along or bail and start your own. sometimes you have to grow up and face the truth that no leaders like rebels. if u want to change the game, become a leader first....

would it save us from the hell of objective c?

teaching is still a bit different than deeply understanding it. when i was in high school, i always tried to teach my younger sister what i have learned in class when i got home hoping it will help me remember stuff. but over time i found out rememebering is still different than understanding. to understand better, u might have to sit in front of desk alone and put alot of thoughts on what u learn quietly.

writing mobile game apps in C is totally cool and everything. but for small startups, surviving and quicker profit are way more important than adopting some aristocratic way of programming

mmm....if i contribute 10 bucks, i would expect at least a copy of the software. Plus, the UI is not too exciting and their expecation for investment might be abit high IMO

sad truth: i have seen start-ups with not-so-impressive ideas get so much funding and press. It all comes down to your connections and who is behind the scene...

a start-up with simple technology and a couple years of history got bought up for $ 1 billion? mmm....this reminds me of the bubble in 2000
