Totally agree with you for linux i too preferred Thinkpad.

Agreed but to code as well there are much better alternatives ex. Text mate, although you can use Sublime. And one more thing I'm not judging Linux or windows but I think OS X can be better if all you want is best of both the worlds(my case).

I don't understand why to use linux(Lack Adobe creative suite and many other softawares though could be run via Wine but with a performance glitch) and Windows(For developers ?? :P) when there is OSX is already doing a very good job.

I recently switched to MBA from Thinkpad because of only one factor ie. the operating system, Other factors are comparable there are some pro's and con's in each device.

ya i saw that I'm not familiar with OpenNLP. lemme have a look it might solve my problem, I'm also starting a nlp project using scala :)

because NTLK is a very strong toolkit for natural language processing and i haven't found anything comparable in scala.

Why you used scala to build when python could have been an good alternative ?
