I think the coolest thing about this tool that I haven't seen mentioned yet is randomizing homework and tests for students on pen and paper without an expensive web platform. This completely eliminates cheating in a math class. Would some sample AI generated text for problems be nice? Sure. But this is the bulk of the work already done IMO.

I use BTRFS on my laptop and in case anyone is interested in trying it, please be sure you know how to chroot into the system in case it won't start. Arch Linux had a problematic GRUB package pushed to stable a few months ago and it bricked people's computers by booting directly to the BIOS. Whatever you do, make sure to take notes on the configuration (if it is DIY) because there are many difference between BTRFS and EXT4, so you can't use a normal chroot guide to fix your system.

Twitter now has billions in debt that it has to service and has lost half of their top 100 advertisers. Their plan to sell an 8$ subscription won't have the reach or ability to service that debt, and while layoffs were necessary to cut costs, doing it in such a classless and unorganized way opens them to serious site reliability issues going forward (they were even down a bit today, for example). I don't see this playing out well to be honest.

If you don't like the ads I'm sure there will be ways to block them. Every search engine has ads, StartPage, DDG, Google, etc... None have an option to pay. I don't see what's wrong with them keeping the lights on, every startup can't burn money forever.

This seems more like what I am looking for. The low tech solutions are great (text files and paper) on a personal level but are horrible for sharing and editing with family. It's too bad about the apple lock in, is there was a way to export to a friendly format like PDF or markdown? (In case the app ever shuts down)

I think this 4D chess argument gives Musk way too much credit. The truth we all need to come to terms with is that billionaires are as incompetent as the rest of us. His DMs released during the court case are proof enough of that.
