I think there should be some kind of "sort by relevance" feature.

I use google docs. I have a bunch of google documents i regularly use for work

- one where I keep track of my work: it's half a todo list with bullet points, half notes about my progress for meetings - one where i write ideas, things I want to dig into later

I write in them from bottom to top (so that my last entry is always on top). I basically use them as paper notebooks.

Actually if it wasn't for URL copy pasting, I think i'd use paper and pen.

Actually I still don't. Nobody ever stopped me from downloading another browser on windows, anyone who wants to do it will do it. So people did have a choice, they just didn't know they had it, and it's their problem, not microsoft's!

I've always been overweight, and struggled with it. I was unhealthy physically and I think it made me unhealthy mentally in some ways as well. I've always been the geek kind of guy, wasn't much into sports and had no idea how to take care of my own body. And this book made it all clear to me.

I love BT Sync! The current client is not so bad, it's easy to use. I like how it's easy to port your config from one computer to the other with dumb text file. I'm just curious, what do you think is missing in it?

This is a bit off topic but does someone know how this book is generated, which tools are used?

When I started this about 8 years ago or so, i used [this book](http://www.headfirstlabs.com/books/hfhtml/). It's structured as a case study, a coffee shop owner who wants to make a small webpage.

It's amazing how it's well written and fun to read. I like it puts some effort in showing you quickly the benefit of what you learned, you never get the impression something is pointless. (NB: it's big but you don't have to read it all. I read say the first half, than used it more like a reference book.)

Have you considered using a [kimsufi](http://www.kimsufi.com/uk/). It's basically a cheap dedicated server. You can get a decent configuration for a less than $10/month.

You will need to admin it yourself but this depends more on the size of your website, I don't think you should worry about it so early, especially given the fact that you're not sure if you website is actually going to take off.
