I don't understand how you connected Javascript with that particular start-up mentality. "Solving problems and helping people" as a development approach is platform agnostic; if you wanted to do that through the web then hey, you would probably use Javascript to accomplish that.

Just looked up Hacker Dojo, I think I will definitely visit there, they have a ton of events going on.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but if you are connecting to Coder then you can't access the internet? I'd imagine that having the learning material side by side (from sites like Codecademy) would be really handy. If you set this up in a classroom would everyone be able to access it through the browser and work on individual projects?

I agree with andyn on the background image. Plain would work better. Sans-serif font for the tool bar, make that a little larger (and remove 'stuff'). Looks good but keep working at it!

Get some branding up there and social links. I can't see the name of your product (i'm just assuming its Lindavista?) on the site or anyway to interact with your brand. A Twitter 'Follow' button and a button to tweet about the currently playing video would be neat.

Also maybe some sort of header, it's a bit cramped up the top of the page (incorporate this with your logo or just your product name in text perhaps).

I find I suffer from a similar problem. For me I figure the reasoning is based in learning potential; at the beginning of a project or piece of software you have the most to learn. As the project continues you begin to do more and learn less, and since I enjoy learning new things a lot I find myself less motivated to continue and more enthused to start something else (which also will not get finished).

It's a vicious cycle of incomplete work and hyper-learning, but I'm mostly okay with that.

This is my preferred stack to a tee. It's just so flexible. I use it with Grunt and Bower for workflow which makes it a breeze.

I find it great for prototyping. Once things start to get more detailed though I start writing more of my own CSS to fine-tune things.

On a related note, I find myself reading and saying it more as "Noteography" than "Notegraphy". Not sure why..

Agreed with this hover comment. Maybe slightly more translucent, only covering a fixed height at the bottom of the image, push the two buttons slightly closer together. I reckon that would do the trick nicely! :)

Looks nice. I currently use Draft for writing like this, primarily because it lets me write at work. Login with Twitter isn't permitted on our network (one thing that pains me, otherwise I might write straight into drafts on Medium) so I'll probably stick to Draft for that reason.
