You could get a USB network adapter as your second ethernet port.

The recommended meal (4 eggs, 12 oz chicken breast) gives me 1100mg of cholesterol, which is more than 3 times the daily recommended maximum.
Great for Pfitzer (makers of Lipitor), not so great for your heart.
I think Matt Damon has a time machine.
An attempt at a viral marketing campaign for the movie Battleship?
Key difference: Facebook has 750 million active users. Google+ has 10 million users.
This may just be my favourite HN comment of all time.
So that's how some videos on youtube have millions of hits before anyone has heard of them...
Agreed. And here is an example where, without comment scores, it is impossible to know how many other people feel the same way.
It is a lot easier to write an essay critique than it is to sit down and fix the problem by recording your own set of video lectures that teach people what you know.
Actually, you wouldn't even need to have extra quadcopters for charging purposes: you would just need extra batteries.
Yep. You would need a) an iPhone app that you would use to place your order (it would send updated coordinates as you move around, and provide a perimeter within which you would have to stay) b) an army of quadcopters so that a subset of them could be charging while the others were making deliveries c) the quadcopters would have to be equipped with parachutes in case they malfunctioned so they wouldn't kill someone on the way down. d) The quadcopters would have to keep a persistent connection with the central server through wireless networks to keep in sync with your latest position and to send back their coordinates for you to see on your phone. e) there would have to be a mechanism in place to prevent mid-air collisions (buildings you could pre-encode, birds and other quadcopters you couldn`t) for bonus points, you generalize the whole thing and make it like an airbnb where people can exchange arbitrary goods and you just broker the deal and execute the deliveries for a fee that would be dynamically calculated based on distance and weight. DO IT. DO IT NOW.
It would be even cooler if a quadcopter delivered your grilled cheese sandwich within minutes no matter where you were. Why doesn't that exist yet?
Only as museums containing artifacts from an ancient age when people used to "print" information on physical sheets of wood pulp.
This is pretty amazing. I think that this coupled with multi-touch interactivity could be pretty revolutionary. It turns the iPad into an "iWindow".
You can already easily do this using TubeMote (tubemote.com) without the need for all the hackery.
- "It's all about which side of the money you're on"
- "it's all about practice"
- "it's all about passion"
It's all about overgeneralizing.
The two don't have to be mutually exclusive.
There is a difference between value and price.
Is it obvious to everyone that he is preparing Nokia for a transition to Windows?
My friend's dad climbed k2. It's like rolling a tetrahedron.
Thank you. More specifically, what I meant was: can anyone speculate on what will be announced?
The force of gravity is not instantaneous. It "travels" at the speed of light. The Earth is not attracted to where the Sun is "now", it is attracted to where the Sun was approx. 8 minutes ago (the length of time it takes for light to travel from the Sun to the Earth), and vice versa.
Probably a stupid question, but does this take into account the speed of light?
Excellent point.
I think the proper term is "eating", not "cannibalizing". It would be called "cannibalizing" if the laptops were MacBooks, and if it were unintentional.
