The worst thing about Tauri is people gaslighting about it being more efficient. No you just save on 150MB of download and install size. And you trade that for risk of incompabilities and breaking. The last thing I want for an editor I use 8h a day.
I feel they will go token base at some point, currently if you only use it with precise prompts and not random suggestions, switch between models 5.4 and 5.4 mini depending on the work, it is the best deal.
I don't think this is the direction where cursor users want to go, they basically free up the market for VSCode and Zed, and won't be able to compete against lab owning their model.
