There are users here who do some really fine commenting. But they got "deaded" for one reason or another. I would love to see buzzfeed and similar sites punished for their wrongdoings even if sometimes they might provide something good. The worse clearly overweighs the good to me.

It originated in Russia and has had quite the history. It is a great step into the direction how documents (especially scientific) should be available to anyone in bulk without restrictions.

I would guess that they do it similarly to private trackers. Each user gets a unique and secret ID which is transmitted when announcing. The tracker then decides if the user is allowed to get the swarm details.

It's not your/my/our job to wonder what resources might be needed to keep it running. If you build a service like this, you should have a user-friendly exit plan.

At the very least they could be open and honest about what is going on instead of pulling a "thanks for being part of this incredible journey, we've had our fun so now we will let you stand in the rain".

That's not what I said. I actually use my phone less as I found the apps and data I "need". Google is forcing software updates (silently even!) that leech away significant amounts of space away from me.

I am running out of space because Play Store and Google Framework get bigger and bigger. It fills me with rage how Google actively makes my old phone less capable over time for no benefit to me.
