For sure they can. Someone with an appeal to power will take advantage of these people and tell everyone how smart the decisions are (s)he is making and that everybody else should shut up.

The reason wood is considered neutral is, that most of the wood is used for construction and other stuff. If you burn it and happen to burn fossil fuel as well, nothing is neutral.

Reading about the app I remembered the book of Hans Rosling ("Factfulness") where he describes a situation in Africa during an Ebola outbreak. He wrote: There where people with apps everywhere. The apps were the hammers looking for nails. However, it just consumed resources and shadowed the fact that numbers reported were just messy and the epidemic was over 14 days ago. In the end they had to do data cleaning and they managed _Ebola_ without an app.
I think this app will make people become accustomed to getting traced for $reason.
BTW: You can use something like a small washing towel (I do not know what the proper english word is - in German it is Waschlappen). So you do not have to touch your shit:)
Well take a guess why the left hand in some regions of the world is considered dirty even there is water around to wash? Because toilet paper is seen as improper cleaning.
But are all these graphs comparable? Testing and reporting is not comparable in these countries.
You do not need much. A pot and a shovel will do for the starter.

Sanctions are part of a war or often a preparation. You could also call it blackmailing. If people die from not having access to medical goods etc because of sanctions it just cheaper than sending troops.
Just search for the Movie Overgames on YouTube. It shows how the psychology was used in gameshows of the 50ies to reeducate Germans. TV was thought of as means to heal.
I think series like 24 were no accident. They pushed the limit farther. Today even kid movies like Pets is more than slapstick comedy. Even there you see torture as valid means.
So the code is inflated because the machine does the code repetition for you. The structure of your program is not getting better I think. I do not argue against annotations but in this case, if there is such a simple thing as try with resources, just use it. If your code is sprinkled over with annotations like this it is hardly getting more understandable. From my experience, a single annotation comes often in packs.
So you introduce a new library that does "magic" instead of using one more line? To me this is the opposite of good code. Let alone that the given example would probably live in some library code anyway.

I have two - 5 and 2. We did these birth preparation courses that are offered here in the hospital. It was good to get a glimpse of what follows. However, it is theory that works until reality hits hard. It helped to feel prepared for the first kid. Would recommend if there is something like this where you live.
My personal experience: The first half year is mostly ground stuff. Eat, shit, sleep, fresh air, contact, ... Make a checklist (in the brain) ... Crying means always one of the ground stuff is missing. Do not buy stuff until you need it. Follow your instincts. Do not hesitate to ask a Doc if you are not sure. No Doc will send you away.

If the US imposed sanctions against my country, I'd just shrug.
You obviously do not understand that sanctions are usually a way to prepare for war with weapons. Sanctions bring up the cracks in societies that are otherwise hidden under a thin layer of comfort we call civilized behavior. With sanctions you get a black market and all that is related to it. Sanctions are a trade war at another level.
