Exactly. I’m not saying other countries have different problems, I’m saying generally they have the same problems. People like to downplay their own problems and relish in other peoples to feel good about themselves. You can search for any country and find incredibly downbeat views on their situation. <Insert Country Here> problems.

hiven
Migrants, energy crisis, inflation, extremism, climate change, export-driven strategy etc. Google “Germany falling apart”, sort by last month, see the absolute dire commentary.
I think it’s too easy (and tempting) for other countries to sit and poke and hypothesise that a country is falling apart. That was a just a case of sensationalising and far from the truth. As someone presently living in the U.K. it is the same beautiful country full of incredible views, kind people and exciting opportunity that it has always been.
Pick any other country, America, France, Brazil, Germany, Australia etc and allow me to also tell you how it is falling apart.
This is really helpful, thank you for sharing.
This is really cool, thank you for sharing. The visual element really helps convey the connection.
What is it you don’t understand from the title and body of the message
They use Godaddy. My goodness that’s not a good look.
The quality of the products is really poor. Cheap materials, sloppy tolerances and no longevity. The best team in Dyson is the marketing function to make people spend so much on so little. I won’t even comment on the man himself.
Sure this will last long.
Agree. He makes plastic overpriced vacuums, he needs to know his limits. As a Hullavington local I have nothing but disdain for this man.
Completely agree. I do however think the way the instagram app works you are guided down a path littered with product sales pages, advertising and general mundane materialism. I think at its core this culture is good for their business model.
There was a shop that said to influencers they could get a discount only after 30 people used their specific influencer promo code. None of them did (or could do) it.
It’s highly ineffective and for the most part it’s just some entitled person with an inflated ego demanding freebies. Madness to think businesses can really believe they are of any real substance or significance.
Instagram more and more has become a cesspool of materialism and advertising. It’s hauntingly shallow to witness, and the impact on the younger generation who are trying to “keep up” for their own mental sanity are instead being dragged further and further into it. Instagram isn’t the only offender obviously but I think it is the antithesis of the issue.
Having already deleted Facebook, I completely changed up my instagram to show photography photos and things relating to my hobbies, and removed my friends and other “lifestyle” feeds. I can honestly say it felt like an immediate lift of mental clarity and happiness. I kept my friendships and have nothing to prove about the way I choose I live my life. No more scrutiny, no more pining after validation, and most of all, a bit of well deserved privacy.
Bringing up a child in this vapid and self obsessed culture must be like navigating a minefield.
Apologises for the rant. I’m only 29 but I sound like I am 90.
It really is not. It’s insultingly expensive and all that overengineering offers no real world value. Don’t get sucked in.
God these products are terrible. All that added cost to protect some budget LEDs from burnout or discolour. They cost next to nothing. There is no innovation in this product.
It’s not really worth investing in google hardware in my opinion- you get invested and they just can it. They have no staying power.
Apple seem completely unreasonable behind the scenes. As an iPhone fan boy it really puts me off. Do google do similar things I wonder?
Yes I did. Didn’t miss it at all.
Never buy Samsung
Speak for yourself!
Awesome! Pledged
Not only do they keep cancelling chat projects but this one isn’t even end to end encrypted. What’s the point. Either release a superior product or just let it go.
I specifically don’t visit the site for that very reason now. Not only does it make it unusable on phone without the app (why any company wants to make that decision is beyond me) but it has also built resentment against the brand. Overall, a stupid decision and plenty of other similar sites I can visit instead.

Not a huge fan, but will keep an open mind
I think you have perhaps been won over by their excellent marketing team. I've been an engineer for long enough to have a reasonable say in the field.
I think they are getting there. The hair dryer is not a bad product really. However I do feel like some of their products still have quite a way to go. The excessive use of cheap plastic with bright coloured highlights aren't to everyone's taste.
It's been common knowledge he was building a car for a good year or two. I imagine it's going to be very ugly.
I think steel is easier to manufacture and more abundant.
I deleted apple maps as soon as I could
